St_Tel49 Posted 25 September, 2011 Share Posted 25 September, 2011 He is a very good striker, but we already have very good strikers as our position in the league indicates. We can't sign everybody. And yes, he is a good acquisition for Brighton but we don't actually need him.
david in sweden Posted 25 September, 2011 Share Posted 25 September, 2011 very few goals are scored by individual efforts, or a player running the ball from his own half and putting it in the net. CMS was good at Peterboro' because of... the service he got /assists ..but without the same players around him, he may well become an " ordinary striker "...if he has to play in another set-up. We can see by seasons end. No-one has suggested that we did / didn't bid for him, but if so maybe he didn't want the deal? ..who knows, more likely that NA decided he wasn't right for our set-up ...and didn't bid at all. Badger Posted 25 September, 2011 Share Posted 25 September, 2011 I would have put CMS ahead of say Billy Sharp in our shopping list. But as others have said a lot might depend on the CMS ego and demands, ie wages, automatic selection if fit etc. He was never going to be 'main man' here, and I'm not sure his ego would accept that. As such, there is no place for him on Adkin's bus.
Appy Posted 25 September, 2011 Share Posted 25 September, 2011 We should have acted decisively in June or July. Our lack of ambition thwarted this and will cost us any chance of promotion. Give up you boring tool.
