Travel arrangements for us V skates

The ticket office are a real pain in the arse for getting your customer number assigned to your ticket. For Barnsley, despite clearly requesting that they do so, I later find out that they haven't. Since then I've had to really get on their cases to make sure they've done it.

This is what I'm worried about. I didn't have my season ticket for Middlesbrough (as my mate had it who couldnt make the game) so I had to go to the ticket office to get a replacement ticket. While I was there I asked if my Bristol away ticket was showing on my account as my mate was meant to be buying it for me week just gone using my season ticket and the guy said it wasnt showing. I assumed my mate hadnt bought the ticket but saw him next day and he had bought it. So when handing in my application for ballot I wanted them to check again if ticket was on there and guy said he couldnt check as take to long or some crap so I got quite angry about it and said guy on Saturday could see it wasnt on there and then woman in the office came over and said some crap about some away tickets not being logged on till after some time or some ******. anyway in end I just whatever. I just hope all is ok as if they have fcked it up Ill be fuming.

Lol, this is quality - I'm booking it under the details of a 8 year old girl, the (middle aged) rogues taking my place on the coach will flip and start attacking the stewards/ ob doing the whole "achtung" on Britannia rd with their concealed bottles of bells provided by my good self whilst I wander the streets of Pompey doing what I want! Actually slightly worried by potential cross fire victims as my ticket mules have nothing to lose and will be at the a### end of a 24 hr drug and alcohol enthused bender!

Does not put me off at all though as I hate the skates almost as much as I love saints!

Having got a bit nervy after reading several posts like this thought I'd go to the OS log in and check my sales history. Despite having done a number of aways this season and asking each time at the ticket office to ensure they were booked against our names on the STs it's showing just one away for me! I'm now hoping that page regarding history is as sh*te as the rest of the OS and when they check my ballot paper for the skates it will show I've done more than enough aways needed for this game. I'm going to be pretty p*ssed off if they f*ck this up.

If you purchased with other people, it might be worth getting them to check their history.

My Leicester one doesn't show on my history, but on my Uncles it shows three tickets for Leicester away which include my customer number in the details.

Yeah, they're going to check before I get onto the club. When I've got the tickets I make a point of getting them to register them to the individual STs - I've got to say I've seen them open each ST in front of me and type in (some kind of) details so am suprised it's not showing up. When a mate has got the tickets I know he's done the same thing and made sure we get them on our history.

If it is another f*ck up it's probably blown it for Brighton away too.

Don't quote me on this, but I 'think' your on-line booking will just show the booking you have made on-line, as oppossed to all the tickets booked against your customer number. Either way, it's an utterly s**t system and really doesn't fit in with us aspiring to be like the best clubs in the world.

As far as I'm aware that is correct. I asked them to check mine last season because someone else generally buys them for me and they weren't showing up in my online account. They all showed up when they checked at the ticket office though.

And yes it is an awful system. It's really not that hard to set up a database which works correctly.

The "order history" on the online system will only show purchases where you are the lead purchaser, i.e. you're the one who's paid the money, either online, over the phone or in person at the ticket office.

If friends have bought tickets using your customer number, you'll be able to check by asking them to log into their account on the online system. Each order will show the customer numbers that have been used.

Not ideal by any means, and it really shouldn't be too difficult to show a list of tickets that have been bought using your own customer number, even if you weren't the lead purchaser.

Yeah that's what I meant, better explained than my rushed job. In theory you could do every away game, have them all against your customer number and have none of them showing on your on-line account. Think we really do need to look at getting our ticketing system updated, as the current one really isn't good enough in this day and age.

If I find spotty oiks who haven't been to any away games get a ticket by fiddling the system, and I don't get one after making the effort to go to 5 away games, I will be more than annoyed.

you will be fine, i honestly think we will struggle to sell out. Don't worry.

I was just thinking the best thing that could happen this season would be to beat them 4-1 at the ****hole, then later in the season confirm our title against them at st mary's by winning 4-1, at the same time cementing their relegation so they could watch us parade the title infront of them.

Then just to make matters even better have relegation confirm their ultimate demise as they go under, knowing the last thing they saw was their team losing 4-1 to us and us winning the league [/dream]

Worked out that our group of 4 would have been to 6.75 away games on average each this season. That's without counting the TO's Barnsley f*ck up too. Should be more than safe for a ticket, so long as our numbers have been assigned for all of the other games!

One thing I was wondering, will the Swindon and Palace games be taken into account or is it just league games they are basing it on?

Swindon and Palace both count towards the total.

This is not the case, all our transactions have been done at the ticket office, none online - it should register and show on (one of your group’s) history once you’ve logged in on the OS.

An update on this. I phoned the ticket office and questioned it and was told that they randomly record purchases against one of the groups names (even though I’d paid with my credit card it wasn’t logged to my name) and although it only shows up to us on that person’s history, their system shows more information to them and they can see what each individual has done.

We’ve now checked mate’s history and fortunately all aways done are recorded between us and it does show each ST number. Sh*te system but at least now in with a shout for skates and Brighton trips.

Now we all know the ticket office have been known to come up with some monumentally incorrect information in the past but my mate has just been down there getting tickets and asked about the skates. He was told (and I wont take it as gospel just yet) that we've only got 2,200 tickets for sale and all these have gone to lucky ballot applications. The rest of the seats are being used for segregation.

Guess we're just have to wait and see.

According to a mate who has just been down the TO, the person he spoke to claimed around 8,000 people have applied.

As it's season ticket holders only at this point, I find that hard to believe. Unless people have just been applying without being a season ticket holder on the off chance?

Maybe we know the same mush! Didn't mention 8,000 but he was told oversubscribed.

I'm convinced the skates were waiting to see if they sold out before saying how many we could sell. If they hadn't I reckon they would have taken segregation out of theirs to save face but as they've finally sold out last week after over 3 weeks on general sale it's now come out of our allocation. ****s

i am convinced the club / OB never had any intention to sell tickets to saints non-season ticket holders, and however many applied (maybe 2200?) will be the allocation, the remainder of the seats will then become "segregation"

I don't think the police or club would care about that. It's not like the tickets are personalised or the club have done criminal checks on season ticket holders. So would be no different from some random attending.

so why not even mention non-season ticket holders in the ticket news? and never mention the allocation number? lets face it the whole thing has been a stitch up from the start, they will be pleased with fewer away fans, 2200 on double decker buses won't be that many buses really

I'd be astounded if 8000 had applied. Even though I've done every game, I really don't trust the ticket office so I'll be happy when the email arrives.

there is absolutely no chance whatsever of it being anywhere near that number!!

This does not fill me with confidence. I have only done 3 aways this season, Bristol being 4 so if they f*ck even just one up I could be in trouble for Skates. Fingers crossed I guess.

May be not DJ-Toast. I spoke the SMS ticket office today not the call centre as I wanted to move my season tickets just for the Palace game to take others in the family. Despite getting nowhere with some flexibilty on this request in that its difficult for me to get to the ticket office on non match days to sort in person, I asked the assertive guy when we would know about Poorsmuff allocations.

He told me if would take until the end of next week to sort as they had received an estimated 8,000 applications.

Either the same wind up merchant or may be its true. Everyone around me in the Northam seems to have applied.

You'd like to think the ticket office have been sorting the applications into some sort of order as and when they recieved them, rather than just waiting to try and do them all after the deadline...

That would be common sense, something the ticket office seems fairly short of since David Luker left

Not much of a wind up Dune. If you are going to do it, do it right - knock two noughts off.

Hardly a wind up. If you knew anything about our recent away trips to FP (I have attended them all) you will know that tickets always go to general sale and anyone who wants a ticket easily gets one. If you consider how we're being forced to jump through hoops to jump through hoops this time around it's obvious that applications will be low - even though we're playing well.

8,000 applications LOL.

They have probably handed them over to the old bill for them to pick out only the season tickets over 50 & under 11!!

I dont tend to agree with you often but you are correct here. The last 2 games at FP I haven't done any sort of application, or gone to a certain amount of away games or anything. The 1-0 I bought 2 tickets from a random member on here with no fuss as I didn't get round to buying them, and the 4-1 game I just rocked up and got them. We will obviously sell it out but there isn't any need for all this application and ballot.

i feel really bad for the non season ticket holders if they do miss out. Plenty make a large number of aways and to me they should be priority above the season ticket holders with no aways. Personally i'm not worried i've done 6 so will be fine, but the idea that a SH with non should get one above a non SH with 6 is a joke if you ask me

Totally disagree. I believe ST holders should have priority over non-ST holders in all cases with regards to tickets. ST holders with the most aways should get priority when the allocations are smaller.

At the end of the day, ST holders' money all goes directly to the club. If someone lives in Birmingham and has been to the 3 local away games, why should they get a ticket above someone who has forked out 400 quid to buy a ST?

You fork out your season ticket for home games. Why should someone who lives in Birmingham who goes to every away game but can only get to SMS for saturday games so not cost effective to have a season ticket miss out to someone who has one but never goes away? Away games like this should be based on average away game attendances, with priority given to season ticket holders if the average is the same.
