Was it ever possible? Did HCC try to get the games there? With all the recent building work down there it was surely an aim.

Edit: 2013* Any idea why we are hosting it two series in a row?

summer 2013 in England, will be summer 2014 in Australia then back to England for summer of 2015. I guess. Something to do with it being brought closer due to a world cup.

They've changed a few ashes schedules around so it doesn't clash with the world cup again.

We have come out of this very poor. We have the following

2012 West Indies plus South Africa IOD

2013 Australia & New Zealand IOD plus Australia T20

2014 India Test Match

2015 New Zealand plus Australia IOD

2016 Pakistan IOD plus SL T20

We are too neat to London!

Saw the interview with Rod Bransgrove and he was absolutely gutted. I think it's an absolute joke tbh and Cardiff have got another FFS!

Is the Chairman of Glamorgan still on the board of the EWCB?

Not that it would have anything to do with Cardiff getting another Test....................

Problems with the ECB and money after the Sri Lanka test couldn't of helped our cause.

Can't have made any difference, Hampshire have paid their staging fee for the Sri Lanka test match, albeit a bit later than planned. Glamorgan still owe loads of money.

Our biggest problem is we're too near London. In all fairness, they do need to spread it around, so I don't really have a problem with it all.

Not sure why they're sticking with Cardiff after poor sales recently. Give Edgbaston, Headingly and Old Trafford more tests.

To be honest this argument is rubbish! The Rosebowl is approx 84 miles from Lords and The Oval.

Trent Bridge is 53 miles from Edgbaston, 78 from Headingley and 85 from Old Trafford; Headingley is 53 miles from Old Trafford and 90 from The Riverside (or whatever it's called now).
