If the guy has trademarked the poster and built the business off it surely he is in the right?..not sure how that woman will win her appeal. Unless I'm missing a big loop hole somewhere. I couldnt start printing I dunno...Ministry of Sound mugs and get away with it without infringing copyright or something.

She's a d*ck. As he says at the end- if he hadn't have got it back into circulation she'd probably never have had the idea.

He didn't get it back into circulation. The poster was rediscovered by another group(name escapes me) in 2000.

Surely the person who designed it during the war holds the copyright?

That would be crown copyright... which runs out after 50 years.

Hence someone else can now 'own' the rights to the poster and reap the rewards for all of time.

It's not just crown copyright that expires
