Saint_clark Posted 24 September, 2011 Share Posted 24 September, 2011 Agreed. Win this then get a big team in the QF in which we lose then concentrate on the league and staying in the top 6. Forgive my confusion, but I do not understand this thinking in the slightest. If you want us to concentrate on the league then surely losing to Palace is the best bet? Personally I want to see the easiest tie available should we go through, as we do have an outside chance of winning the thing for once.
gaz Posted 24 September, 2011 Share Posted 24 September, 2011 Other than Man Utd, that's all the Prem teams drawn against each other. I can't think of a single reason why this is interesting, so it probably isn't. How about this, all the bigger PL clubs knocking each other out, meaning more chance of an NPC side making the final. gjphilsaint Posted 24 September, 2011 Share Posted 24 September, 2011 well you know what happens when we get drawn against Palace in a Cup? Should we play it at Stamford Bridge?
scotty Posted 24 September, 2011 Share Posted 24 September, 2011 Aldershot or Arsenal away, or if I'm being uber-selfish/lazy, Palace away. You selfish, lazy c*nt
Ewell Posted 27 September, 2011 Share Posted 27 September, 2011 Ticket dretails up on the Palace site so looks like £15 which is decent value. http://www.cpfc.co.uk/page/News/0,,10323~2464015,00.html

General Sale starts on Tuesday 19th ? according to the OS. I expect they mean tomorrow so they can get today's game sorted first
disconnect Posted 18 October, 2011 Share Posted 18 October, 2011 I bought my tickets today on general sale. Should be a good one! Palace have got a decent young team - some good players like Zaha, Clyne, Williams. Will be interesting to see what team we put out and how we perform against a team with quite a lot of pace in midfield / attack.

thesaint78 Posted 19 October, 2011 Share Posted 19 October, 2011 Just called up for tickets for this one to be told the initial allocation had sold out and we were now going back to Palace to ask for more tickets
um pahars Posted 19 October, 2011 Share Posted 19 October, 2011 As it's half term I might take a trip up, but I would have no problem if we played a ressie team up there and focus on the League. Games are thick and fast and I think we need to be cautious about player fatigue, unnecessary injuries and cautions.
JRM Posted 19 October, 2011 Share Posted 19 October, 2011 Just called up for tickets for this one to be told the initial allocation had sold out and we were now going back to Palace to ask for more tickets stuff like this always makes me laugh for the sheer stupid inefficiency of it all, the "initial allocation" was always going to be too small, and clearly we can have thousands of tickets if we want as they just keep opening more blocks in that stand, so why did they wait to sell all of the tickets before going back for some more? i reckon quite a few will just pay on the night for this one 1109 already sold, should be a decent following up there. MatthewStiles Posted 19 October, 2011 Share Posted 19 October, 2011 Palace's last League Cup against Boro was attended by 5,448 so I would say it's a safe bet that we'll get more tickets.

Why do the Club/Ticket Office seem obsessed with initially only releasing tickets to ST's and then only 1 ticket per ST I can understand the logic with popular games but it's obvious that many games will either not sell out or tickets will be available for long enough for the "keenies" to get theirs. Whilst queueing for mine I was reading all the changes to ticket sales/refunds/moving etc. It seems that a lot of people are like me and now buy from the office rather than pay the extra £3.
