I scored the winner again with a lucky ciggy break. What the hell do I have to do to get on a MOM poll?

I'd vote for you. I'm sure that's your third goal this season. Not bad going from the other side of the Atlantic!

Who the feck voted for Forte?

Waste of space

I was shocked too. If you click the number 2 against his name, the voters ID's appear. You two should be ashamed. Or were you being ironic?

First 45 - Holmesey. Overall - Jos the Boss. So calm and collected, the new Svensson. Sign him up!

I only woke up and got the commentary as lallana came on and scored which is why he got my vote

Not really your Man Of The Match then was he? More your Man Of The Last 20 Minutes As He Got More Goals Than Anyone Else When I Was Listening And Some Men On The Radio Said He Played Well.

I was at the game- for me Chaplow ran his socks off and lots of tough tackling, Butterfield had a solid games and Holmes was quite good, but his touch and crossing in the first half was a bit rusty- lovely cross for the second goal though- and with his right foot I think!

Bart 6- Almost a 5. Missed a cross first half and at fault for the goal. Makes those Davis detractors look silly at the moment

Butters 6+ Steady

Dickson 6- OKish but some misplaced passes

Martin 6+ Steady. Not up against much. Distribution a bit of a worry

Hooiveld 6+ As Martin but slightly better distribution

De Ridder 7- Quick and threatening without really delivering

Chaplow 7+ Energetic.Bossed midfield

Schneiderlin 7+ MOTM for me. Class in midfield

Holmes 7- Still unsure about him. Did well enough on the night

Reeves 6+ A decent debut in an unfamiliar position. Looked about 14 and currently would struggle in the 1sr team with his stature

Forte 6 No way a central striker and suffered from quality of passes to him. Just not good enough for our ongoing aspirations

Can I ask what is the flipping point is of having a poll in which people who didn't actually watch the game have a vote?

Meaningless and bizarre are two words that spring to mind.

I always include the 'Saintsweb Man of the Match' in my match reports, the only way to get that is to ask the forum users, if they have been to the game great, it allows them to make a more informed opinion, but opinions will be crafted too from reading match reports and hear'say from mates.

It would also be impossible on here to seperate the match goers from those who couldn't/didn't attend. So while I agree it may be a little less well informed then the official man of the match award, it is a reflection of the forum's opinion and feeling. Therefore it is far from bizare or meaningless.

I'd wondered the same thing myself.
