Made in Southampton Posted 19 September, 2011 Posted 19 September, 2011 (edited) Has anybody seen the goals since the game? I swear the media have got it in for us. I watched ssn on and off Sunday evening and we didn't even get a mention. Edit; goals on the beeb; http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/14965494.stm Edited 19 September, 2011 by Saint_clark Added in link
stkev7 Posted 19 September, 2011 Posted 19 September, 2011 Well they're on the Saints Player, have been for a few hours now.
Littlelat17 Posted 19 September, 2011 Posted 19 September, 2011 They were on SSN last night a couple of times and were just on Meridian - I saw them earlier on Saints player - even better watching the movement in the replays then live at the game, how good was Lallanas reverse through ball to Chaplow and how unlucky was Connolly as his goal should have stood when he was onside
Wes Tender Posted 19 September, 2011 Posted 19 September, 2011 Well, today on the Radio 2 news, I did catch a mention after they had said that ManUre had gone top after beating Chelski, that Southampton had gone top of the Championship. I don't think that it is often that they mention the Championship at all.
Made in Southampton Posted 19 September, 2011 Author Posted 19 September, 2011 Ok I must have been unlucky then. Everytime I thought they'd show them they banged on about something else.
Johnny Shearer Posted 19 September, 2011 Posted 19 September, 2011 Should have highlights on the BBC tomorrow I'd think. Crazy Diamond alluded to Saints getting a slightly longer video than usual.
Fan The Flames Posted 19 September, 2011 Posted 19 September, 2011 Claridge was very complimentary of us earlier on 5L.
smithy Posted 19 September, 2011 Posted 19 September, 2011 Claridge was very complimentary of us earlier on 5L. Despite him being an ex skate he does actually give an unbiased opinion and usually talks a fair bit of sense.
This Charming Man Posted 19 September, 2011 Posted 19 September, 2011 Despite him being an ex skate he does actually give an unbiased opinion and usually talks a fair bit of sense. He's a clueless, gypsy. He has to be one of the blandest pundits going.

Hatch Posted 19 September, 2011 Posted 19 September, 2011 letting that free kick in was shocking, what the hell went on there?
Colinjb Posted 19 September, 2011 Posted 19 September, 2011 letting that free kick in was shocking, what the hell went on there? Slight deflection I believe. Free kicks from that distance can be a lottery at times.

Micky Posted 19 September, 2011 Posted 19 September, 2011 And about time too, been looking all over for these - thanks.
ivangolac Posted 19 September, 2011 Posted 19 September, 2011 Has anybody seen the goals since the game? I swear the media have got it in for us. I watched ssn on and off Sunday evening and we didn't even get a mention. I sky plus'ed the 7pm SSN so I could watch the goals after Top Gear. When I checked all they did was a match report after the goals from Rangers/Celtic. I did the same again at 8pm and 9pm with the same result . At 1009pm (now wise) I flicked back to SSN and they finally had them. Worth it , eventually.
SW11_Saint Posted 19 September, 2011 Posted 19 September, 2011 Waited around to see them last night, and again for an hour or so this morning. Nothing. At least we got mentioned on R5L tonight. Claridge said he got stick yesterday at the match for never mentioning us on TFLS.
scotty Posted 19 September, 2011 Posted 19 September, 2011 He's a clueless, gypsy. He has to be one of the blandest pundits going. +1. Well said that man, I cannot stand claridge.
The Cat Posted 19 September, 2011 Posted 19 September, 2011 Guly's pass to Richardson for the 3rd goal was sex.
scotty Posted 19 September, 2011 Posted 19 September, 2011 Gulys finish was sweet. Lallana's double nut meg 360 thing was unbelievable. Yep, was at the game in the kingsland, but watching the highlights on saints player was an eye opener. Breathtaking movement, and what a finish from Guly. Connollys goal was clearly onside as well, but lets not split hairs.

alpine_saint Posted 20 September, 2011 Posted 20 September, 2011 Lallana's double nut meg 360 thing was unbelievable. Yeah how p*ssed off was Carr ?

Toadhall Saint Posted 20 September, 2011 Posted 20 September, 2011 Yeah how p*ssed off was Carr ? ****ed off enough to run what 20 - 30 yards and take him out - very cynical.
Guan 2.0 Posted 20 September, 2011 Posted 20 September, 2011 Claridge was very complimentary of us earlier on 5L. What show/time was this?
Mozz Posted 20 September, 2011 Posted 20 September, 2011 Slight deflection I believe. Free kicks from that distance can be a lottery at times. Yep. From watching the replay angle from the back of the Chapel a few times on Saints Player it's a definite deflection. A Brum player lines up in the Saints wall. Fonte stands directly behind him with Hooiveld behind Fonte. Wood drills the ball low at his teammate at which point the ball is travelling straight at Davis. It then goes through the Brum players legs, through Fonte's legs and through Hooiveld's. The ball clips Hooivelds left instep on the way through his legs deflecting the ball away from Davis and into the middle of the goal.
mundine Posted 20 September, 2011 Posted 20 September, 2011 Amy chance someone putting the BBC higights on YouTube as can't watch them on iPhone and not near a pc for a few days Yes please someone !!!
Crazy Diamond Posted 20 September, 2011 Posted 20 September, 2011 Should have highlights on the BBC tomorrow I'd think. Crazy Diamond alluded to Saints getting a slightly longer video than usual. I did indeed - highlights with all the goals, chances and saves worthy of note added up to eight minutes or so which is far longer than the BBC can allow. The terrible miss by a Birmingham player towards the end isn't in there for example. That was in the eight minute version, as were one or two of Kelvin's point blank saves.
Saint in Oz Posted 20 September, 2011 Posted 20 September, 2011 Yes please someone !!! download and install EXPATSHIELD
svetigpung Posted 21 September, 2011 Posted 21 September, 2011 for us abroad....any highlight links apart from the beebs that dont open outside the UK. THX

Thats the one I was hoping for.
