Wurzel Posted 19 September, 2011 Share Posted 19 September, 2011 This has been our best "start" to a season for 103 years. But how long is a "start" ? It seems to be that from the 3rd game onwards statistics of best start/worst start /most goals scored/conceded at the start etc for x years are attached to any club they cabn be found relevant to . So when does a "start" just become "the season" ?

ant Posted 19 September, 2011 Share Posted 19 September, 2011 I hope this start does just become the season Breaking records is nice but there comes a point where you can't get too wrapped up in them.
Ohio Saint Posted 19 September, 2011 Share Posted 19 September, 2011 Historically, the "Start" is over when Saints stop losing and drawing every game.
the saint in winchester Posted 19 September, 2011 Share Posted 19 September, 2011 12 games, for me. After 12 games, we will be a quarter of the way through the season. I'll name 8 teams then that I see as contenders. Early January, I'll narrow that down to naming the top6 and predict the top 2 at the end of the season. But right now, after 7 games, it's still just a good start to the season. A very good start. And we typically get better as the season progresses!!! TopGun Posted 20 September, 2011 Share Posted 20 September, 2011 The problem is we have short memories so now we look down at those teams in 3rd or 7th place and start doing calculations. Five years ago we were looking up the table and doing desperate calculations.
