doddisalegend Posted 14 September, 2011 Posted 14 September, 2011 From the football league website our turn to get a mention this week, reckons SMS can be quite intimidating:scared: http://www.football-league.co.uk/championshipblog/20110914/matt-hollands-blog-7_2293311_2449375
Dazza82 Posted 14 September, 2011 Posted 14 September, 2011 The fans love to sing 'The Saints go marching on' and right now it's difficult to see anything other than that happening for Southampton 'The Saints go marching on'?
CanadaSaint Posted 14 September, 2011 Posted 14 September, 2011 Nice to see. If we'd got him when we were trying we might still be in the Premier now.
Junction 9 Posted 14 September, 2011 Posted 14 September, 2011 'The Saints go marching on'? Yeah, you know "Oh when the Saints, go marching on, Oh when the Saints go marching on, I'm gonna be in that number, oh when the Saints go marching on" They sing it all the time at St Mary's, it's our most famous song.
Saint_clark Posted 14 September, 2011 Posted 14 September, 2011 He's right. The last two years in league one have seen the atmosphere in St Marys improve shed loads.
doddisalegend Posted 15 September, 2011 Author Posted 15 September, 2011 Yeah, you know "Oh when the Saints, go marching on, Oh when the Saints go marching on, I'm gonna be in that number, oh when the Saints go marching on" They sing it all the time at St Mary's, it's our most famous song. LOL now I know why people on here keep saying we don't sing it right at SMS.....

theyin Posted 8 November, 2011 Posted 8 November, 2011 this from Matt Holland's Blog 14 Posted on: 02.11.2011 "On the field, I've been mightily impressed by the way Southampton are performing. Some of their goals this week were fabulously well constructed and all credit must go to Nigel Adkins for the work he's doing with his side. I was speaking to Notts County boss Martin Allen last weekend and he was singing the praises of Adkins. Martin was recalling a conversation he had with the Saints boss a year ago and told me how mightily impressed he was by the way he held himself. According to Martin there is an aura about Adkins, who has an unerring sense of self belief and confidence in what he's doing. It's no surprise then that this is rubbing off on the Southampton players too." Nice one Nige

Nice one Nige That's good to read...we tend to see the media side of our management rather than how he is with his peers and with the players. Appropriate that he has an aura....little halo above his Saintly head? ;-)
