Remember watching him at Derby away along with Svensson and co for our first win of the season! Didn't look outclassed either from what I can remember.

I saw him play for the reserves once and all I can remember about him is the WB on the opposing side kept muscling him off the ball far too easily over and over again. He then got taken off and replaced by Ostlund, the WB tried it again on AO and ended up on his back

 

Think he had his injury problems as well

Seemed that every time he got close to being picked for the first team he got a serious injury. IMO he would have been good enough to play at Championship level but probably never will now but if he can stay injury free, could end up playing L2.

State League...really poor, I play 2 levels lower at my age/fitness.

he also walked out on eastleigh after they gave him a chance there, hopefully he does well at winchester alongside Dunford + Co.

He also played at Totton and Eling in the Wessex league for a few months. They helped him get get his fitness back etc, and then he went off to Oz. Although, I think they fully expected him to go.

You are right, it was just two or three months ago his dad told me he was trialing for a A league team, so I am surprised by this.

Shame his career seemed to fall apart very quickly, a couple of injuries and some over exposure under the Dutch duo took what looked like a promoising upper championship midfielder and seemingly turned him into a non league player. Hope he does well and finds his way back into the football league soon.

Cruciate injury, broken leg and dislocated ankle before the age of 20 has got to leave a mark - either physically or psychologically. Hope he finds a way back.
