I am astounded by this. Yes, the guy is a scumbag but now we have reached the point where mallicious trolling is now a jailable offence. I had no idea that 'indecent or offensive' communication could carry such a penalty!

Reading the report it looks as if he deserves all he gets. He is indeed a Scumbag and posts like his can cause great offence to bereaved families. If he posted a racist remark and incited racial hatred he'd probably be jailed so that's fine with me. Perhaps it'll stop other delinquents from following suit.

Bit of a weird one, this. I dont use any "social networking" sites myself, just the plsstaking ones, but I was always led to understand that facebook and the others all have a function whereby the person doling out their lives to all and sundry could block anyone they didnt like from posting on their threads?

He's obviously a disturbed person, taking pleasure from abusing the friends and families of dead people. I think a short 'lesson-learning' custodial sentence and a psychological analysis could prove worthwhile.

Would have preferred community service, would have actually reformed him maybe. These people are ****s, and deserve what is coming to them. We also don't know how sustained or nasty it was.

 

Just remember that facebook has replaced old methods of communication of phone and letter. Imagine if someone kept sending you letters or calling you to insult your dead daughter. Would you call the police? Of course you would. The nasty swot deserves what is coming to him.
