We're flying high at the top of the division, and seen as a progressive, forward thinking team (and club) that has every chance of being promoted.

In short, I'd hope we'd be aiming a lot higher for a loan deal. We need to be looking at the sort of deal that took Bendtner to Birmingham in '06 or Taarabt to QPR last year. A player from a PL club with obvious quality who is not getting a game in their parent club. And we should have sufficient 'collateral' in terms of our reputation and results to achieve that.

I'd be looking at someone like Nimely(sp?) from Man City, Diouf from United, maybe even Macheda from United.

(I've just re-read that first paragraph, and imagined saying it 25 short months ago. I would probably be sectioned.)

I don't understand all this negativity when people suggest certain players. We've seen a number of players who've been at Saints and been poor then moved elsewhere and looked completely different. By the same token it can work the other way. Sometimes a move to another club is exactly what's needed to kickstart a career.

According to football rumors [yes i know aload off crap but...] were after a lad called Serio Torres who is a striker. Anyone know anything about him? Is he related to fernando!!!!!!!!

Doesn't he play for Crawley Town? we've left players of his level way behind...no disrespect.

I saw him a few times at Vicarage Road... he started off very slowly and didnt seem to be able to cope with the Championship physically. However, in the season he was sold to Ipswich he looked superb, almost unplayable and looked like a great signing for Ipswich....then he lost his way.
