Saint Charlie Posted 12 September, 2011 Share Posted 12 September, 2011 Jack Stephens is out injured for 6-8 weeks which is a shame, he has looked very good for the u18s and Development Squad so far this season. U21s playing Cardiff tomorrow. De Ridder is starting according to his twitter, wonder if Jaidi or Barnard might feature.
Stepgar Posted 12 September, 2011 Share Posted 12 September, 2011 Ironic that jaidi could be starting for the u21. How old is he lol.:-).

stevegrant Posted 13 September, 2011 Share Posted 13 September, 2011 Saints team: Bialkowski, Racine, Martin, Dean, Dickson, de Ridder, Moore, Chaplow, Holmes, Reeves, Seidi. Reeves up front (assumption based on where he's been named in the lineup and presence of Dickson/Holmes) is an interesting one, considering he played left-back in Switzerland
for_heaven's_Saint Posted 13 September, 2011 Share Posted 13 September, 2011 Would like to see Seidi play, his bavkground sounds interesting: 'Portugal based striker who is a real handful for opponents and boasts an impressive goal scoring record from Guinea Bissau Academy in West Africa.' Appy Posted 13 September, 2011 Share Posted 13 September, 2011 Forte not playing is an odd one. Off on loan i guess.
disconnect Posted 13 September, 2011 Share Posted 13 September, 2011 First time in ages we havent had someone smashing in goals from all over in these reserve / under 21 matches. Where's McGoaldrought when you need him?

When one of Chaplow, Cork, Hammond or Schneiderlin gets injured or susspended I guess? They all put themselves s bit so it could be fairly soon. for_heaven's_Saint Posted 14 September, 2011 Share Posted 14 September, 2011 Highlights on saintsplayer now. Good finish for the goal and some nice passing moves. De Ridder really does look good, even if against reserves.
SuperMikey Posted 14 September, 2011 Share Posted 14 September, 2011 Good for the youngsters to play alongside more experienced pros, it means that they get used to playing with higher level players and also against higher level opposition based on the squads that teams have been bringing to play against our U21s, which means that the step-up to the first-team squad isn't as high as it was before when most youth team players just played against other youth team players week-in, week-out. Saint Garrett Posted 15 September, 2011 Share Posted 15 September, 2011 Just watched the highlights on SaintsPlayer. Great finish by Ward Prowse i thought he was older than 16, sounds like he will be the next big thing from our academy as touted on here for a while. Good to see few youngsters get a run out with first team players and against some, good experience for them. Few good passing moves shown on Saints Player but would have liked more of the game shown ! Martin also looked as if he was a constant threat from setpieces. Good to see.
