Air Conditioning Repairs on MX5

Car just out of 3 year warranty. Air conditioning not working. Garage have told me that a very small stone has gone through the air con condenser and that it needs a new one at over £300! Anybody know if this can be repaired or of somebody who replaces them. Thanks.

Have you tried joining an MX-5 forum? They'll be able to point in the direction of an independent mechanic who specialises in MX-5's and will do a better job than a Mazda main dealer.
