stevegrant Posted 11 September, 2011 Posted 11 September, 2011 Now, having done my best Martyn Tyler impression, I'm delighted to announce that we are now running on the brand new super-duper server. You should see that pages are noticeably quicker to load now, and, most importantly, during peak periods as well (touch wood). Subtle configuration changes might be needed over the next few weeks, so I'd ask you to bear with us if those are needed - the system administrator fella at work knows what he's doing so I'll leave it all in his capable hands If you spot any problems, please let me know. One thing I've thought of... if you access the site at http://saintsweb.co.uk rather than http://www.saintsweb.co.uk, you might find a few problems for the time being as I've not moved *everything* across yet (emails, etc), so I need to leave the base domain name on the old server until I've moved those across as well (hopefully some time this week).
Colinjb Posted 11 September, 2011 Posted 11 September, 2011 Super-dupa sounds good. Nice one!! Bring on the kids who 'know better.'

Spudders Posted 12 September, 2011 Posted 12 September, 2011 I like that we can see how many people are online again now, good stuff.
Saint_clark Posted 13 September, 2011 Posted 13 September, 2011 I like that we can see how many people are online again now, good stuff. Pretty sure that was the recent software update and not the server switch.
Psycrow Posted 13 September, 2011 Posted 13 September, 2011 The Saints official site seems to be down. Saintsweb is up. COME ON THE NEW SERVER!
dune Posted 18 September, 2011 Posted 18 September, 2011 It may have taken you 3 years to work out what to do, but you got there in the end.
hypochondriac Posted 18 September, 2011 Posted 18 September, 2011 Took long enough but happy that thing appear to be sorted. Of course the real test will the first away game or if the skates go bust
alpine_saint Posted 18 September, 2011 Posted 18 September, 2011 Took long enough but happy that thing appear to be sorted. Of course the real test will the first away game or if the skates go bust And us playing at the same time as every other League and Premier League team, but it does look good so far.
