Dr Who? Posted 4 September, 2011 Share Posted 4 September, 2011 We have a radio in our office at work, and we really need a rota for it. I prefer XFM and 6 music, but others prefer Smooth FM, Radio 2, and Radio 1. What is your prefered radio station?
revolution saint Posted 4 September, 2011 Share Posted 4 September, 2011 I mostly listen to radio 2 although if I had a digital radio in the car then I'd probably alternate between that, xfm and radio 6. Haven't listened to radio 1 in years.
Colinjb Posted 4 September, 2011 Share Posted 4 September, 2011 I listen to Talksport and that's pretty much it. I've lost interest in Radio 1, it's just full of awful music now, I can't quite identify with the music on Radio 2 and I find the topics of Talksport (football, ad infinitum) most interesting. I will occasionally listen to Radio 5 but only if there's anything happening of political interest. If I had to listen to a music radio station, Kerrang...... but of course that only available nationally on DAB, here we can get it on FM.
Jonnyboy Posted 4 September, 2011 Share Posted 4 September, 2011 BBC only - Solent, 5 Live, 6 Music and Radio 1.
badgerx16 Posted 4 September, 2011 Share Posted 4 September, 2011 In the car it's R4 ( or R5Live if there's sport on ), at home on the DAB it's either R4Extra or Kerrang.
timebomb Posted 4 September, 2011 Share Posted 4 September, 2011 I spend a lot of time driving and I'm lucky enough to have DAB in the car so Radio 4 in the morning, Planet Rock until 1.00pm then Talksport till 5.00pm then Radio 5. Mind you have discovered downloading audio books and also listen to them a lot.
Guest Dark Sotonic Mills Posted 4 September, 2011 Share Posted 4 September, 2011 Depends on the time of day. Morning it's Radio 2, Then R5 or Jack (was Coast) but the 'jokes' are starting to really annoy me.

timebomb Posted 5 September, 2011 Share Posted 5 September, 2011 Anyone in the London area with DAB and you like rock should try The Arrow, non stop rock - no adds or news or chat (no DJ's either).

trousers Posted 27 October, 2011 Share Posted 27 October, 2011 I used to listen to 'TalkRadio' avidly before it dumbed down to 'TalkSport'. Used to listen to the likes of Jeremy Beadle, Tommy Boyd, Ian Collins, James Whale and Mike Allen late at night (and on LBC before TalkRadio). Absolute legends. There doesn't seem to be any decent 'Talk' stations out there anymore....unless anyone can recommend one???
hamster Posted 30 October, 2011 Share Posted 30 October, 2011 Wake up to Solent and also during my morning bath, then Radio 4 en-route to work. Homeward bound it's a flickathon between the two. Frequently have a Classic FM session if the traffic's bad to calm myself for the day ahead, particularly effective if there's a heavy meeting planned that day. Long drives it's usually Classic but around the M25 mrs h has to have Jackie or somesuch 70's crap on.
