No 'league' football this weekend so why not get out and support your local non-league club this weekend?

I'm off to watch the Red & Black of Southwick F.C take on the mighty Bexhill United tomorrow in the Sussex County Football League, division 2.

Up the Red & Black! Come on Southwick!

Anyone else going to spend a few quid at their local non-league club over this international-break weekend?

P.S, Southwick F.C. was founded in 1882 which is a whole 3 years before us ;)

Totton & Eling Vs Bournemouth Poppies.

FA Cup Qualifying Round

C"mon The Millers!!!

See! There it is, right there! Why supporting your non-league club is so important. I had no idea that such a club existed! I, of course have heard of Totton F.C., but not Totton & Eling! Bravo! And this is what it is all about, football that is - communities and LIFE! Not just $$££$$$££$£$£$£!

(the fact that the Millers were formed from workers of a fag company we can gloss over..... ;)

Up the Wickers!! We can beat those Bexhill Scum !!

I thought about going to Eastleigh as they are at home this weekend but for me and the nippers it would cost £20 that's roughly what I pay to watch saints (it helps that the nippers get in free at SMS) seems a bit steep HTBH. On the plus side Southampton Tyro league starts sunday so I get to watch Hedge End Rangers blue play for free.

Normally I would be at Sholing, especially as they are playing in the FA cup today, but unfortunately could not make it due to other commitments. For the first game of the season please note they offered half price entrance to Saints fans producing their season ticket, hopefully this will continue for future games. The added bonus is they wear red and white stripes so you can wear your Saints shirt and fit right in !

Well my local team are Royston Town FC, but they are playing in their FA Cup game tomorrow, but it is away. I go and watch them at Home so does not matter what day of the year it is either.

Played 5 won 5, but have played a game less than Leverstock Green who have played 6 and won 6. Going to be a championship season!!

went along to Staines Town v Thurrock, new ground not done before and only 16 mins on the train from where i'm currently based, £12 bit steep to get in but nice little ground, crowd of roughly 300 inc 25 away fans and very enjoyable, cracking game ending in 3-2 win for the away side winning goal scored 7 mins into stoppage time.

Makes a nice change to go along to a game like that and would recommend getting along to your local non-league games when saints aren't playing.

Unfortunately Forecast was no longer at Thurrock, but was pleased to see Craig Maskell is on the coaching team at Staines.

I went to Tooting & Mitcham United v Wingate & Finchley in the Ryman Premier League, free to get in with any Premier League or Football League season ticket. Entertaining 1-1 draw, and a hilarious sending-off in injury time for a chest-high studs-up assault :uhoh:

I'm not entirely sure how that is possible but it sounds really really awesome :D

The best thing about it is that it was clearly accidental as well

The Wingate midfielder tried to control the ball high in the air, but a Tooting player got there first and his studs went into the Tooting player's chest. You could see that he just didn't see the guy coming, so it wasn't intentional, but it looked horrendous, so doubt there can be any arguments about the red card.

Id rather make the most of the "no football" weekend and do other things.

Rather that than watch 22 men run off hangovers...

daft response. The team I watch, when not watching Saints, Sholing FC are a semi professional club and their players are just as dedicated to their sport as Saints players. Try it one week when Saints are away you will be pleasantly surprised.
