SaintRobbie Posted 2 September, 2011 Posted 2 September, 2011 http://www.skysports.com/story/0,,11095_7142833,00.html ... not kept on by the sk8s. Worth a pay per play contract to reinforce us at the back? I quite liked him when he was with us before, he played his heart out for us with his bandaged head! Certainly has some experience aged 37! Only a sk8 for a month so not long enough to grow gills or anything! Could HDAJFU?
Saint_clark Posted 2 September, 2011 Posted 2 September, 2011 No. He was only decent in a very poor side for us.
skintsaint Posted 2 September, 2011 Posted 2 September, 2011 Not good enough for them...defo not good enough for us in any capacity.
SaintRobbie Posted 2 September, 2011 Author Posted 2 September, 2011 (edited) To be fair he had a great song too! Edited 2 September, 2011 by SaintRobbie
Bad Wolf Posted 2 September, 2011 Posted 2 September, 2011 I liked him when he was here first. One of my favourite players, as the OP said he played his heart out every game. This was about 3 years ago now though, as another poster said, this was in a very poor squad. Can't remember if it was our relegation season or our near relegation season but still a poor squad. His time however has passed, will always have a lot of respect for him and wish him the very best of luck with finding a club as he no doubt deserves one. However SFC is about the future and not the past, signing him would be a step backwards IMHO.
Saint_lambden Posted 2 September, 2011 Posted 2 September, 2011 He's still around? Blimey, I thought he was a dinosaur when with us! Not being kept on by the cheats says it all, no thanks.
Pancake Posted 2 September, 2011 Posted 2 September, 2011 Anyone remember this? lol! I bet those West Ham fans do.
The9 Posted 2 September, 2011 Posted 2 September, 2011 (edited) He was a useful stopgap for us at a time when we were struggling for experience to get us out of a hole, and were short of centre backs 3 years ago, when he was approaching being past it in terms of footballing years. 3 years later, we have a much better situation, regularly sign players in their mid-20s to get them at their peak to supplement the experience we already have, and the player in question will have waned and has just been deemed surplus to requirements at a club short of players which is well below us in the league. People think this is a feasible option ? Edited 4 September, 2011 by The9

Daren W Posted 3 September, 2011 Posted 3 September, 2011 Take away the B and add an E and you've got Christian Dailly...

Eaststander Posted 4 September, 2011 Posted 4 September, 2011 Stick to you FIFA 11 games, and fantasy teams and we will get on with living in the real world.
SaintAndy14 Posted 4 September, 2011 Posted 4 September, 2011 I thought he was excellent. Yeah he was. However, a lot of time has passed and I don't think there would be any point in getting him back now, especially at 37. Good luck to him, though.
Saint Fen Posted 5 September, 2011 Posted 5 September, 2011 Was an excellent player for us before but would only increase the squad numbers without improving our team now. Sure he will find at least a decent league 1 team, good luck to him.
