dubai_phil Posted 2 September, 2011 Posted 2 September, 2011 Call me old fashioned, but doesn't this stink? http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/africaandindianocean/libya/8736496/Libya-the-minister-the-Tory-donor-and-a-contract-to-supply-oil.html Libya: the minister, the Tory donor and a contract to supply oil An oil firm whose chief executive has bankrolled the Conservatives won exclusive rights to trade with Libyan rebels during the conflict, following secret talks involving the British Government.
eurosaint Posted 2 September, 2011 Posted 2 September, 2011 TBF it's generally the way things work in war torn situations (doesn't make it right, I accept)! You can be sure that the French and Italians are up to the same thing one way or another, so better that British interests are at the forefront ! A bit rich from the Labour guy criticising it when his former leader was up to all sorts of tricks a few years ago !!
trousers Posted 2 September, 2011 Posted 2 September, 2011 Time to dig out that photo of Blair kissing Mr Gadaffi on the arse, me thinks. (actually, I may have got the wrong anatomical cheek there, but you get my drift) ;-) Edit: damn. Forgot to use the 'B-Liar' moniker for Blair, although I admit that's nowhere near as amusing as the chortle fodder that is 'ConDems' in the play on words stakes. ;-)
anothersaintinsouthsea Posted 2 September, 2011 Posted 2 September, 2011 Trousers - your only defence of a Tory is "well whatabout such and such" which is pretty pathetic. What's your actual opinion of the story being highlighted by dubaiphil?
CB Saint Posted 2 September, 2011 Posted 2 September, 2011 It's stinks, It's unsurprising, it's how the world works (unfortunately). Oh it's also apolitical because they are all at it.

I try my best to come across as pathetic as possible on here, so I thank you for your kind recognition of that. What's your actual opinion of the story being highlighted by dubaiphil? It all looks a bit murky to me. But, hardly surprising given it involves a politician and oil.
