doddisalegend Posted 9 September, 2011 Share Posted 9 September, 2011 They've tried taking Lee Holmes on loan, this time they were told to stick it I wonder why? Can't see Holmes getting a lot of time on the pitch here at the moment. Surely getting game time would be good for him given his lack of matches the last couple of seasons. Then if we need him for cover we can recall him with some match sharpness already.

lordswoodsaints Posted 10 September, 2011 Share Posted 10 September, 2011 Bournemouth just havnt got the fan base to sustain a decent level of football, they have been flirting with debt on and off for years.they punched above their weight last season but as predicted they couldn't sustain their good form long enough to make it to the finishing post, they are at best a mid table l1 team but on the positive side they have balanced the books, unfortunately the fans would like success but for a small club like Bournemouth that would probably mean going into debt to gamble on getting promoted. It must be hard living in the shadow of saints but hey ho.

Crazy Diamond Posted 10 September, 2011 Share Posted 10 September, 2011 Lee Bradbury just can't follow in the footsteps of Eddie Howe, its pretty obvious. They've been a victim of their own success, no question at all. Their players from last season realised they could play at a higher level, it was unravelling after Howe left, they got moves away. Simple. Mitchell has done a good job. They ought to be a bit more grateful.

As I said before Mitchell's main problem is that he comes out with these statements about players not leaving then less than 24 hours later they have gone, and he has done it on at least 3 occasions that i can think of. Sometimes its best to keep your mouth shut but Mitchell gets a bit carried away it would seem. Bloody funny tho :-)

Can some of you get into your thick heads that alot of us couldn't give a f**k about Saints. I never did, didn't last year, didn't the years before (apart from when you saved our club of course - how could I forget). YES there were some keyboard warriors that stirred it up last year - hey we are 30 miles apart - what do you expect? I have got family from Lordshill, saints fans and get on really well. Loads of banter last year, but i did tell him that you would go up in the end, as expected. Some of the comments on here really out of order - yes, I know its your forum, but compare this one to Huddersfields, you come out looking like a bunch of spiteful bastards! SuperMikey Posted 11 September, 2011 Share Posted 11 September, 2011 Chill out Simon, it's just a lot of Saints fan feel a bit confused about where we stand with AFCB. A few years ago we were loaning young players to you, holding fund-raising friendlies to keep you in existence and generally helping you out (didn't we loan our groundkeeping staff to you to keep Dean Court in order when you couldn't afford anyone to maintain your ground?). All of a sudden AFCB have been promoted to the same league as us, and your fans are lording it up and acting like everyone involved at Saints had gone to Bournemouth on a King Herod mission and slaughtered all of your first-borns! One particular memory I have is standing at the ticket office for the league game at SMS last season when your fans were escorted past us by the police, shouting "SCUMMERS! SCUMMERS!" and hurling abuse at us Saints fans just standing at the office waiting to get our tickets for the game. No abuse from our side, just watching the AFCB fans getting all riled up for no particular reason and screaming abuse at us! Absolutely bizarre. SimonC Posted 11 September, 2011 Share Posted 11 September, 2011 Cheers guys - I suppose its the generalisations that tend to rile me a bit - the 'we' all think the same way, etc. Its just really putting the other point across, that we aren't all rabid 'scummer' haters - which I have tried to say on here all of last season. Then you read this thread amd just get a bit ****ed off! fair enough, yes I don't have to read it, but still.. SaintBobby Posted 11 September, 2011 Share Posted 11 September, 2011 Unbelievable. Mitchell is out of control, but I'm not quite sure what Bournemouth fans demands now are? They're a pretty small club. Nothing wrong with that at all. But I would think staying in League One would be an achievement and they'll eventually settle down as a League Two or possibly even a Blue Square team. In general, they don't seem to have been particularly gracious for Saints' help in the past and were so above themselves last season, so - while I basically couldn't give a monkey's about them - I'd have a nice chuckle if they went through a miserable period. Their fans certainly need taking down a peg or three.

Have a read of the last few pages of the pompey takeover thread in the Lounge area and put yourself in the position of that retarded gimp Corp Ho, then decide who's disliked the most. Besides which would you prefer (A) saints fans mocking your chairman and saying we helped out your club out financially a few years back, or (B) that you all fook fish, sleep with your own sisters, have a club that's rotten to the core which has ripped off charities and you all have webbed feet You're always going to get fans who generalise about other fans on any forum, just ignore what you don't like mate, having a go just opens yourself up for them to respond and wind you up further! If you want some banter you could always take the same approach as another of our long standing skates mack rill and post in a style akin to a young child with spelling problems, you’re far to eloquent and speak too much sense for many on here Simon!
