Can you ask him why on the first day of season ticket renewals the free parking lasted for 30 mins, but on the 2nd day it was reduced to 15 just to get a few more pounds from loyal supporters / customers?

In fact, if it is at the stadium tonight, have you been issued with a parking permit?

I was joking with my list. I hope you are with your petty list.

You what??? Are you mental?

Danny Fox - 29 top flight appearances

Steve de Ridder - 60 top flight appearances

Jack Cork - 11 top flight appearances

Jos Hooiveld - 118 top flight appearances

Ask him if he ever reads this forum and if so is he embarrassed by the ignorance of a lot of the people on here.

"Top Flight" does not mean "the League above the Championship", so based on that you can write off Hooiveld and de Ridder's experience, leaving 11 games for Cork and 29 for Fox, both in relegated teams.

As it happens, I think Cork's a great signing, Fox could be good, de Ridder I'm expecting to be excellent, and I'm not passing opinion on Hooiveld until I actually see him play - I'm merely saying your response to a question about players being "good enough to compete in the League above" is by no means the best way to illustrate it.

Ask him why when you posed one question on an Internet forum, 95% of those that replied chose to ignore your question and answer a question that hadn't been asked?

the first set of accounts showed £20m of debt to the current owner(s). Is there any chance whatsoever that the club could be saddled with that debt should perhaps the current owners sell the club?

That is just an accounting thing. Owner sets up company, makes a Director's Loan to company to get the ball rolling and so technically the company then has a liability to the owner.... who in the case of SFC and the holding company is/was ML. So he owes money to himself, basically. Really not a worry - if Miss/Ms Liebherr decides to sell then the price will include the repatriation of the director's loan.

I hardly call SPL 'top flight'. But that said, good point. The signings all have good high-level experience.

:) The club could be saddled with that debt, but the wealth of the new owner could equally accommodate that. Alternatively the club could be sold with no outstanding debt, yet the buyer has to borrow to make the purchase?

Maybe better to ask if we can find another Markus should they decide to sell.

Please ask him if he realises how much the booking tax, stadium ticket tax and parking tax p/ss people off.

Also ask him why the club regularly hold back selling away tickets until the monday after a match day.

It ****es you and a few other mongs off, most people just get on with it and accept it. I wouldn't bring it up tbh.

Cortese has a dinner which a bunch of random season ticket holders every few months.

Oi I take offence at being called random ;)

I could have answered the OP, however I assume you are already there now so I'm too late.

Hope you enjoy your date, I really enjoyed myself when I went, but sadly Nicola has never called me since :(

I look forward to hearing your summary of what was said, did he mention me at all

says the self appointed voice of every Saints fan barring Dune and a few `mongs'. Ever crossed you mind that you might be the mong for just accepting this policy without question?

Well said Dune.

The one thing the club seems to be doing is charging LOYAL FANS more money to follow Saints.Whether or not its a ticket tax,car parking charges or charging £3.50 for a little bottle of beer(instead of a full pint), in the concourse.

Most Saints fans i know, who attend games occasionally, are disgusted by the cost of watching Saints for one game in the Championship.

From a tweeter (@minterrrr) who went last night:-

Burnley offered Jay Rodriguez £8000 a week more than we were prepared to pay #saintsfc

We did not try to sign Beckford #saintsfc

In the first team squad highest paid are Lambert/Lallana on £25000, lowest £5000 #saintsfc

They have considered moving the away supporters but no plans at the moment #saintsfc

Adkins was very unhappy about the open training on Thursday because they practice all sorts of secret signalling #saintsfc

We have 15000 season ticket holders #saintsfc

The person responsible for season ticket distribution has been sacked #saintsfc

and more:-

Adkins was the first one they interviewed for the job. They interviewed Eddie Howe 3 times but never offered him the job. #saintsfc

We are contracted to the company that provides the crappy website and would cost millions to get out of contract... #saintsfc

minterrrr: ... but if we are promoted there is a 10 day window when we can decide to change and that's what we will do #saintsfc

Said the history attracted them to the club and they know the history of the ups and downs, but they don’t pander..

..to the older chairman and players. E.g. when a chairman phones up and says "I worked here 15 years ago, can I have a ticket?" they say no.

re Chamberlain there was never a question of selling him to Arsenal and having him back on loan.. #saintsfc

as his parents would not be welcome in the ground ever again . #saintsfc

We offered him same wages as Arsenal have put him on, but his parents pushed for him to go so he went. #saintsfc

Arsenal orignally offered 3mil. We held off and Arsenal feel they paid over the edge #saintsfc #AFC

We made a bid for an arsenal player who ended up going on loan to West Ham #saintsfc

but Cortese thinks they rejected us because of the whole Chamberlain thing. #saintsfc

Arsenal had shady dealings and actually did a secret medical with chamberlain last season. We considered reporting them to the FA.#saintsfc

Warnock made comments about us and Jack Cork. He got fined by the FA. #saintsfc

minterrrr: We were the only club who ever had official permission approach Cork and Chelsea were very good at only letting us speak to him. #saintsfc

Hmmmm....would Cortese really be divulging such sensitive information at a meal with fans? Do we have any proof that this @minterrrr person is genuine or should we take the info with a pinch of salt for now?

Odd stuff to make up, but also some quite surprising info. Would be good for another who was their to corroborate.

I can't imagine Cortese divulging player wages, transfer fees and the like though. Call me a cynic but I smell a rat (or is that fish...?)

Completely unrelated to this post but - who is the player second from back left in the team photo - he has tape on his ear in the other photos?

cheers

Danny Butterfield. Also has had quite the haircut.

Having attended one of these myself and listened to Nicola talk, I’d be very surprised if he’s talked about actual figures and specific player salaries. During the one I went too he was extremely professional and careful with exactly what he did say.

One you missed:

They recognise that the queues for food/drink are too long but there is little they can do about it, the stadium was built cheap. #saintsfc

Really?? :?

Seems an odd excuse to give for plain slow service. Hire people who can count change for a start...

Exactly. Twitter seems to be the new Wikipedia when it comes to accuracy.
