I am glad we have signed a big, commanding, experienced left sided centre back to strengthen the defence. Some of our posters obviously believe they are "experts" and have decided he's not good enough already!! This is quite unbelievable and also extremely depressing. We are going well and strengthening wisely so please stop this negative rubbish. This is the time to enjoy the great results, fantastic football and having a team thatbelieves and wants success.

If you don't like it I suggest you get off the bus!

Welcome aboard big man!

Yes of course its so easy to stop supporting isn't it....jeesh how many times do people have to post this cr8p!

Because not everyone is a happy clappy red&white tinted glassses and are a bit concerned we didn't really strengthen

in an area of weakness we should all stop going?

I hope this guy does the business...I don't boo any Saints player but I am disappointed we didn't get a Wheater, Bikey

proven sort - if that doesn't make me a super duper fan like you then I can live with it.

I was going to post that if Fonte got injured we would have Seaborne and this guy but guess we could utilise Cork there.

I think you will find that people are underwhelmed at the prospect of signing a cb who seems to be going backward in his career rather than forwards and CEltic fans don't seem to rate him. We're obviously just taking a punt otherwise we would have signed him long term if we were sure about him. All of these factors are not the blue print of a club showing real ambition - come on happy clappers and youngsters....prove me wrong. Let's hope the big man plays well

Thats fine its what forums are for but it just annoys me when people post the "go and support Man city" rubbish.

I believe you dont choose your team and can just switch off that easy.

Couldn't agree more I find the happy clappys far more annoying than the wrist slashers. I thought the OP has some good points hidden under a barrage of I'm a better supporter than you cliches.

The number of instances where a player doesn't do well at one club then sets the World alight at another are legion. Christ, there are a substantial number of posts on here listing the players that we discarded, who went on to distinguished service at other clubs, many of whom are Premiership regulars today.

So any intelligent poster is entitled to pre-judge the potential success or failure of a new signing based on his performance at another club, but will also accept that until that player has played with his new team mates for a few games, it is impossible to say how he will perform for us.

If some posters are upset that in their opinions we have not signed players from some glory team for mega bucks, then that's up to them. But I personally have some faith in our manager and our scouting team that they might have the capability to pick a rough diamond and polish it.

We'll just have to wait and see and perhaps those disappointed posters will have to eat humble pie by the end of the season.

After what de Ridder posted on Twitter last night I wouldn't be surprised if Jos is a 'buddy' signing :p

Still, he deserves a fair chance and could potentially do a good job for us. Or at very least be valid as emergency cover. Definitely going to sit on the fence until we've seen him in action.

NA would've told Mr Ticket Tax who he wanted and this Jos whatshisname is the 3rd or 4th choice desperation loan signing after we fooked up all the other deals by being too tight. All imho.

Or as simple as the clubs not wanting to sell their best players and demanding stupid money.

Or Jemal wanting a kick back for his old club... Or £1 million Fontaine having a dodgy ankle ...

I thought financial efficiency was the "buzzword" of the Conservative Party - Not the spend, spend , spend of the Labour Party !! :)

Wouldn't be surprised if he turns out to be really good. He's big and apparently good on the deck, has come from a massive club and has Champions League experience. Yet, apparently we're supposed to be fuming we elected not to sign a big lump that QPR couldn't sell quick enough once they got promoted.

As much as I'm happy that we are being sensible, this is what I believe to be the story. Unfortunately, in today's game, you have to pay over the odds to get who you want, just as Arse did with AOC.

I actually find this quite interesting that we have a guy that Celtic fans clearly don't rate, that most people on here are underwhelmed (at best) with and yet Adkins feels he should move for and indeed sign him. Obviously the financial side of the deal is a major contributing factor but if he is so obviously crap like the Celtic forums seem to think, what had Adkins seen that they havn't?

I have read enough tosh from all the football experts and ITKs on here to last a lifetime and whilst he could be pants, I wouldn't be suprised if he turned out quite good.

Welcome aboard Jos.
