Barry the Badger Posted 9 September, 2011 Share Posted 9 September, 2011 so that's rumours of 22, 24, 25 and 27k then. the ticket office staff have proved every game they seem to know bugger all. you'd have thought the info was available but it always contradicts.yre I wonder if anybody has ever had a member of the ticket office staff just say they have no idea about the attendance. It's almost as if they're under instruction to just take a guess.
cellone Posted 10 September, 2011 Share Posted 10 September, 2011 (edited) Am actually Gutted that I can't make the game tomorrow as I'm going on holiday to Majorca on my Dads Brothers boat that he's rented out for the week which I am looking forward to and that should be Pretty Good! So fingers crossed that Saints will do me proud and win again and that we can go top depending on how Brighton do at Bristol City or something and other results go our way aswell but we'l see! Am going to go for 3-1 Saints with Lambert (2!) n Lalanna/Cork for Saints n Miller/McGugan or however his name is spelt for Forest to hopefully pile some more misery on Forest and especially Steve Mclaren!!! The last time I was on holiday was the 1st game of the season when we beat Leeds 3-1, Torquay in the Carling Cup n Millwall in the league! COYR !!! If Saints do well out of the next 3 game's and You catch something worth cooking (what else are boat's for, apart from going from A to B). I will not totally blame you unless it doesn't go exactly to plan. Edited 10 September, 2011 by cellone
SuperMikey Posted 10 September, 2011 Share Posted 10 September, 2011 Forest fans aren't confident best quote from their forum Basically we should prepare our collective anus, because we're about to be f**ked by the long red-n-white striped d**k of Southampton. Suddenly I feel more confident about this game now.
alehouseboys Posted 10 September, 2011 Share Posted 10 September, 2011 Does anyone believe that McClaren is going to be the manager that takes under-funded Forest back up...I think he will be a flop and will be sacked by the end of the season. If we were to give them a mauling this afternoon then I could see McClaren quit/sacked by the end of the day!

IFHP Posted 10 September, 2011 Share Posted 10 September, 2011 Last time I asked the girl said 'I think it's about....' regarding ticket sales. Surely if they don't have the info, don't guess! Never understand why people ask “how many we sold then?” when they get their tickets.

for_heaven's_Saint Posted 10 September, 2011 Share Posted 10 September, 2011 Really don't know about this one. For me it's my head saying we should win it by a couple of goals, and my heart saying this is saints, nothing's guaranteed. As mentioned, an early goal could be vital. Window Cleaner Posted 10 September, 2011 Share Posted 10 September, 2011 A lot of optimism then, think this will be one of the key games of the season, would be handy if we could get a 1 goal margin win but Forest won't be the pushover many seem to think they'll be.A game that could easily go either way. speed demon Posted 10 September, 2011 Share Posted 10 September, 2011 My gut feeling is that we will win. More specifically Adkins would have worked on fitness through the break and I wouldn't be suprised if we put 3 or 4 past them. We've been to enough away days over the years expecting a spanking and it's about time others came to us feeling the same. We are in form, we are a strong team, we are Southampton. You've got every reason to be nervous coming here Forest. (watch us get dicked now I've said that)

for_heaven's_Saint Posted 10 September, 2011 Share Posted 10 September, 2011 Some stats from the BBC site; shame they spelt Adkins wrong: Southampton • Defending a 100% record at St Mary's, and chasing a 12th successive home league victory; an outright club record, if achieved. • Nigel Atkins is completing his first year in charge of the Saints. • Victory would give them 15 points after the first six games of a league season for the first time, and make it their best start in 76 years. Nottingham Forest • Averaging a point a game (five from five), and vying for only their second league win of the season. • One of two clubs to have scored just one away goal in this Championship campaign. The other is bottom of the table Doncaster. • 75% of the league goals Forest have let in, have been conceded in the first half (six of eight). Chez Posted 10 September, 2011 Share Posted 10 September, 2011 Don't be fooled but the last result, Forest played pretty well in the West Ham game and created plenty of chances. It will be a very tough game.
vince Posted 10 September, 2011 Share Posted 10 September, 2011 It's going to be interesting to see how we respond to the first defeat of the season last time out and whether we have the determination and belief to bounce back straight away. In some ways, the manner of how we play is more important than the result. However, the way we've been playing so far, I'd expect us to win at home today. Window Cleaner Posted 10 September, 2011 Share Posted 10 September, 2011 Interesting defence. Although Jos is a bit of an unknown quantity I think it looks better than we had last time out, because to me Cork is far superior to Richardson and the midfield in no way suffers by Cork moving back a notch. Listening to McClaren's interview on their equivalent of Saints Players, seems like they have picked up a lot injuries as a result of the international fixtures - something which we were largely spared of.
