-------------------------DAVIS-------------------

RICHARDSON------FONTE------HOOIVELD------FOX

GULY------SCHNEIDERLIN------CORK-------LALLANA

----------------LAMBERT------CONNOLLY----------

Subs: Bart, Harding, Seaborne, Hammond, De Ridder

Schneiderlin ahead of Hammond because I think Cork can do Hammond's job of tracking runs and breaking up play, and Schneiderlin is great creatively and can pick out an excellent pass. My main worry about this match is that Forest have Ishmael Miller up front for them now - he's a tricky bastard. Will be an interesting game! I reckon a 2-2 draw.

3-1 Loss, we're **** and don't have enough players to compete with Forest at this level

Where the **** did Blakey come from every post on this forum since yesterday has been more negative than Alpine Dalek and Hypo put together Blakey if you dont like it GO AWAY

Richardson and Guly are a real weakness defensively on our right flank. Fraser was shocking against Millwall. Bouazza could easily have had a hatrick. And it sounds like we were just as bad there against Leicester.

I'm not sure how we solve this problem apart from playing Cork at right back - but we need him and Morgan in the middle to keep the ball.

Did forest sign anyone?

Have'nt noticed Dexter Blackstock's name in Forest's latest team sheets. Is he still with them, injured, or what. ?

If he's out of favour, then perhaps HCDAJFU, as he seems to have scored fairly regularly for 'the Forest'.

McLaren seems to be doing a reprise of his England career at the City Ground. so probably would'nt let Blackstock go out on loan, especially to Saints.

Did his cruciate ligaments at the end of last season, think he's out until Jan/Feb time.

Forrest were woefull against the hammers and looked seriously low on confidence. Their defence was poor at best and will be panicking with Lallana, Guly, Lambert & Conolly running through them.

Can't wait.

This will be interesting. I have a niggling doubt about Adkins against experienced managers, Maclaren is no fool (particularly if he leaves his umbrella behind). We should win easily… but I am in two minds on placing a bet to win on this after Sven confirmed my niggling doubt last Saturday!

just because he's perceived to be less experienced doesn't mean he isn't better than them, certainly Maclaren. SVE got a little lucky with a keeper in outstanding form.

Were you there last Saturday?

Both Sven and Adkins made changes at half time and the game swung massively in our favour. I'm not sure they even got in our half 2nd half.

There is no way any of our fans should be thinking ''we should win this game easily''. What are we, real madrid or something? We've just been promoted and everyone expects us to be thrashing everyone for some reason. (teams like Forest who were in the top 6 last year ffs)

Winning most weeks for the last few years at a lower level, doesn't mean you will do it at a higher level. I'm pretty sure we'll loose more games this year than last year, as the oppo is at a totally different level. I have a feeling quite a few of our fans will struggle to adjust to this.

Never thought I'd be saying this at the start of the season but this game should be comfortable. They've looked really poor defensively particularly against Leicester and West Ham. Confident that Lambert will win plenty of flick ons and free kicks against Wes Morgan and Chambers and Lallana and Guly/De Ridder can really attack the full backs. Can't see Miller doing much upfront. We contained him really well in the friendly against WBA and began to get very frustrated when he wasn't getting the ball.

Very Confident. Saints 3-0. Lambert, Guly, Hooiveld

If you call 5 goals fairly regularly then you must be a happy person. Personally I would prefer someone who scores a lot more.

You getting hm confused with MCgoldrick? Blackstock has been a decent success for them, 18 in 56 apps IIRC. He's out injured atm, has been for the past 6 months, will be back in the new year apparently.

Nope, McGoldrick scored 6 last season, Blackstock 5.

Well I'm glad you're not our Chairman. McLaren is a joke manager along with those other wonderful Middlesbrough appointments Bryan Robson and Gareth Southgate. They only need Avram Baron Von Greenback Grant to complete the set.

Without wishing to tempt fate, but judging by Forest's start to the season I'd like to think we could get a fairly comfortable 3 points here. Couldn't beat Barnsley (who I thought were utter garbage against us) in their 1st game at home, conceded 3 goals at home to Notts County in the cup, beaten easily at Millwall 2-0 and thrashed by West Ham 4-1. If we are on song then I fancy us putting a few past them.

Their central midfield is so slow. I fancy us to win this one. They clearly arent happy with their squad, brought no one in.. and jus got mauled by Westhaaaaam.. looking pretty shaky at the back. Miller will be a handful though..

Lets tear em a new one.

According to the Guardian, McClaren might quit!

http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2011/sep/02/steve-mcclaren-nottingham-forest?CMP=twt_gu

"Steve McClaren could be ready to walk out on Nottingham Forest over frustration at a lack of signings in the transfer window, according to reports last night... McClaren is said to have returned to his family home in the north-east to consider his future"

Please dear god no, why do we always get lumped with New Manager syndrome?!?!?!?!?!

Steve McClaren rumoured to be on the verge of quitting Forest in the next few days. Are we gonna be facing new manager syndrome again?!

I don't think McClaren ever "quits" anywhere, always gets sacked.

Quit Utd as assistant to join Boro as a manager. Quit Boro to join England. Pretty sure he quit one of his overseas jobs. Not sure if it was the German one or the Dutch one though.

Meetng Forest at a good tme. They look fragile and can see us winning this one, 2-1

That would certainly help our drive to cement a final position in the top 17.
