Burnley Away build up

they never really advertise away tickets on the site these days, so no surprise there, will definitely be an interesting one to go to if we sign Rodriguez in addition to Fox.

Recommend the cricket club for a drink before the game.

Burnley have quite a lot in common with us

They also have a small slum called Portsmouth nearby

Burnley fans very friendly before game last time I went there unfortunately the mutants were out after we beat them - dread to think what they will be like this year if we get two of their players

Hope there will be more tickets on offer tahn just over a thousand.

I'll be back in UK but due to numerous family committments and Mrs EoA breaking her leg last week has put all my plans to c()ck!!

Fingers crossed but can'make deccision till I get back and see the way things pan out.

the away end holds loads more than 1087, the half stand away fans get holds 2100 so you'll have no problem even paying on the day if you want. I'd be surprised if we take more than 1000 to be honest, would have thought more will go to cardiff away the following wednesday with it being a new ground.

stilll a good day out can be had at Burnley, would recommend it http://www.footballgroundguide.com/burnley/

Sorry to hear about Mrs EoA - hopefully not done skiing down dunes!!

You could always get her in a wheelchair and bring her along to Turf Moor?

I'm still planning on being there!!

I went to Turf Moor 3 years ago when we were 3-0 down at half-time, then nearly equalised in the 2nd half

Bloody awful place Burnley, and the ground is like stepping back into time

There wasn't even a working lock on the toilet door

We had 650 that day, so I expect at least double that because that match was in December and we were playing terrible too

Barring any other major mishaps I have been given the thumbs up to go for services rendered and good behaviour!!

Seem to remember on another thread about a decent pub with plenty of good beer - you normally have the gen on this sort of stuff - any ideas?

Just spoke to a Burnley supporting mate and he said the fans are starting to turn on the board and the manager. He said that a lot of fans left after half-time in last weekends home defeat by 'Boro and when he left with ten minutes to go (he said he'd never done that before) the stadium was 2/3rds empty. They have a Carling Cup match at home to MK Dons this week followed by an away trip to Peterboro'. So they could be ripe for the talking and my mate says he looked on the fixture list for the next winnable game for Burnley and thinks it could be in December against Doncaster!

On a side issue it's Ladies Day at Burnley for the Saints game so before anyone gets excited about a load of ****ed up women this is Burnley we're talking about here and getting ****ed up is what these women are bloody good at!

Don't park in the Cricket Club if you have any valuables in the car. The bastard guiding you in shops the vehicles to his scrote mates. They did over a minibus I was driving, levering off the side window and nicking everything they could get hold of. I had several hundred pounds worth of kit nicked (we were away for the weekend, staying in Blackpool) such as iPod, phone, pda etc. and everyone else on the 17 seater had all their stuff stolen as well. Most weren't insured and the CCTV was 'conveniently' not covering the area we were told to park.

I'm coming from Bedford so I'm taking the coach to MK then the train to Stockport, changing again at Blackburn and yet again at Bolton... on the way back I change at Preston. Basically a whistle-stop tour of crap Lancashire towns.

Hi there.

You should contact COLSLAW the Saints supporters group up our way. We are travelling up M1 tomorrow taking a couple car loads (& sharing petrol costs). Could always do a M1/Bedford Pick-up!

Our group discussion list is here, if you want to check it out...
