Saint Garrett Posted 31 August, 2011 Posted 31 August, 2011 Tickets go on sale tomorrow. Not on the front page of the OS - not sure why... http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2437149,00.html Hope we should get 1000 or so up there...
Stattmeister Posted 31 August, 2011 Posted 31 August, 2011 And there was me thinking it's because they were writing a narrative on "seeing new Saints signing Jay Rodriguez returning to his former club..."!
JRM Posted 31 August, 2011 Posted 31 August, 2011 they never really advertise away tickets on the site these days, so no surprise there, will definitely be an interesting one to go to if we sign Rodriguez in addition to Fox. Recommend the cricket club for a drink before the game.
JHsaintsfan Posted 31 August, 2011 Posted 31 August, 2011 Burnley have quite a lot in common with us They also have a small slum called Portsmouth nearby Burnley fans very friendly before game last time I went there unfortunately the mutants were out after we beat them - dread to think what they will be like this year if we get two of their players
ericofarabia Posted 31 August, 2011 Posted 31 August, 2011 Hope there will be more tickets on offer tahn just over a thousand. I'll be back in UK but due to numerous family committments and Mrs EoA breaking her leg last week has put all my plans to c()ck!! Fingers crossed but can'make deccision till I get back and see the way things pan out.

Fingers crossed but can'make deccision till I get back and see the way things pan out. the away end holds loads more than 1087, the half stand away fans get holds 2100 so you'll have no problem even paying on the day if you want. I'd be surprised if we take more than 1000 to be honest, would have thought more will go to cardiff away the following wednesday with it being a new ground. stilll a good day out can be had at Burnley, would recommend it http://www.footballgroundguide.com/burnley/
Saint Garrett Posted 31 August, 2011 Author Posted 31 August, 2011 I doubt we'll sell out to be fair....I doubt we'll sell out many away games this season.
Saint Garrett Posted 7 September, 2011 Author Posted 7 September, 2011 Got my tickets yesterday, many others going ?
rick1976.4.38 Posted 7 September, 2011 Posted 7 September, 2011 3 of us going,tickets arrived yesterday,coys

You could always get her in a wheelchair and bring her along to Turf Moor? I'm still planning on being there!!
Huntingdon Posted 7 September, 2011 Posted 7 September, 2011 I went to Turf Moor 3 years ago when we were 3-0 down at half-time, then nearly equalised in the 2nd half Bloody awful place Burnley, and the ground is like stepping back into time There wasn't even a working lock on the toilet door We had 650 that day, so I expect at least double that because that match was in December and we were playing terrible too
fanimal Posted 7 September, 2011 Posted 7 September, 2011 Going as have a meeting in preston the day before - whoopee!
ericofarabia Posted 8 September, 2011 Posted 8 September, 2011 Sorry to hear about Mrs EoA - hopefully not done skiing down dunes!! You could always get her in a wheelchair and bring her along to Turf Moor? I'm still planning on being there!! Barring any other major mishaps I have been given the thumbs up to go for services rendered and good behaviour!! Seem to remember on another thread about a decent pub with plenty of good beer - you normally have the gen on this sort of stuff - any ideas?
Saint Garrett Posted 8 September, 2011 Author Posted 8 September, 2011 I'll be there on my todd. Woop. I was expecting to be but have managed to twist the arm of one of my Liverpool supporting mates as long as i paid for his ticket ! The things I do for Southampton !
The9 Posted 8 September, 2011 Posted 8 September, 2011 Tickets now purchased, along with Cardiff for the midweek after. Those, along with Forest home will be my next 3 matches, unless I manage to get Granada v Villarreal tickets on the weekend of 17th.
Saints67 Posted 13 September, 2011 Posted 13 September, 2011 Just spoke to a Burnley supporting mate and he said the fans are starting to turn on the board and the manager. He said that a lot of fans left after half-time in last weekends home defeat by 'Boro and when he left with ten minutes to go (he said he'd never done that before) the stadium was 2/3rds empty. They have a Carling Cup match at home to MK Dons this week followed by an away trip to Peterboro'. So they could be ripe for the talking and my mate says he looked on the fixture list for the next winnable game for Burnley and thinks it could be in December against Doncaster! On a side issue it's Ladies Day at Burnley for the Saints game so before anyone gets excited about a load of ****ed up women this is Burnley we're talking about here and getting ****ed up is what these women are bloody good at!
LGTL Posted 13 September, 2011 Posted 13 September, 2011 We are heading up on the Friday night for no other reason than we can't be arsed driving up Saturday morning. Saying that, Barnsley was a funny night out so who knows. £15 each in the Travelodge and you can't go wrong really.
West End Saint Posted 13 September, 2011 Posted 13 September, 2011 9 of us going staying Saturday nite in Manchester which should be fun going on the Train 7.01 out of Parkway to Manchester & then on to Burnley not done Turf More yet so another tick off the list looking forward to it.
Appy Posted 13 September, 2011 Posted 13 September, 2011 I last went in 2007 when we won 3-2, Rasiak and Skacel scoring. Does the away end still have wooden seats?
maxi_sopez Posted 17 September, 2011 Posted 17 September, 2011 going from leeds on my own... anyone else heading from leeds ?
silversaint Posted 17 September, 2011 Posted 17 September, 2011 going from leeds on my own... anyone else heading from leeds ? Two of us going from Leeds.
West End Saint Posted 22 September, 2011 Posted 22 September, 2011 Are tickets going to be available on the gate at Burnley ??
Golden Balls Posted 22 September, 2011 Posted 22 September, 2011 Went to Burnley a few years back when we won 3-2. Was the first time we won an away game after going behind for 12 years!!! Good trip, hopefully we'll take over 1000 again
Sour Mash Posted 22 September, 2011 Posted 22 September, 2011 Are tickets going to be available on the gate at Burnley ?? You'll definitely be able to buy tickets up there, can't remember if it is actually pay on the gate up there or if there is one of those little tickets booths you have to use though.
jjsaint Posted 22 September, 2011 Posted 22 September, 2011 I'm coming from Bedford so I'm taking the coach to MK then the train to Stockport, changing again at Blackburn and yet again at Bolton... on the way back I change at Preston. Basically a whistle-stop tour of crap Lancashire towns.
Guest Dark Sotonic Mills Posted 22 September, 2011 Posted 22 September, 2011 Don't park in the Cricket Club if you have any valuables in the car. The bastard guiding you in shops the vehicles to his scrote mates. They did over a minibus I was driving, levering off the side window and nicking everything they could get hold of. I had several hundred pounds worth of kit nicked (we were away for the weekend, staying in Blackpool) such as iPod, phone, pda etc. and everyone else on the 17 seater had all their stuff stolen as well. Most weren't insured and the CCTV was 'conveniently' not covering the area we were told to park. Dirty northern monkeys

Lighthouse Posted 22 September, 2011 Posted 22 September, 2011 (edited) Might be going. Depends on work, but will be a last minute decision. Anyone else planning on going from Liverpool? Edited 22 September, 2011 by Lighthouse
Shroppie Posted 22 September, 2011 Posted 22 September, 2011 going from leeds on my own... anyone else heading from leeds ? Coming from Pontefract via Leeds. Will be on the 11.53 Leeds to Burnley
The9 Posted 22 September, 2011 Posted 22 September, 2011 What colours will we be wearing? Difficult to know, but as Burnley wear reddish shirts and white socks we may look more like Colombia than Brazil on Saturday...
dannysfc Posted 22 September, 2011 Posted 22 September, 2011 No, I'm going in a car from Andover. OK that's cool and you should overtake us then so give us a hoot as I'm on coach 3 Appy Mate!
Colinjb Posted 22 September, 2011 Posted 22 September, 2011 What colours will we be wearing? My money is on Yellow, zero risk of clash.

We are travelling up M1 tomorrow taking a couple car loads (& sharing petrol costs). Could always do a M1/Bedford Pick-up! Our group discussion list is here, if you want to check it out... http://sports.groups.yahoo.com/group/tossa/ Cheers Hemel Saint COLSLAW
Mister Neil Posted 23 September, 2011 Posted 23 September, 2011 No preview on the official site yet but the following match report from the game in December 2008 shows Saints were in Red n White. http://www.burnleyfootballclub.com/page/MatchReport/0,,10413~44362,00.html
Crazy Diamond Posted 23 September, 2011 Posted 23 September, 2011 A winnable fixture if ever there was one. Howe's Burnley are unimpressive and I believe we have the stronger team. Three points please!
pap Posted 23 September, 2011 Posted 23 September, 2011 Still undecided on this one. The junior pap collective is not available for this fixture, nor is Ms pap. This means I'll either have to go on my own or take my nephew, who is ginger, northern and so far, bad luck.
