Thorpe-le-Saint Posted 30 August, 2011 Posted 30 August, 2011 That'll do. Hoskins on...for 30 seconds.
Saint Without a Halo Posted 30 August, 2011 Posted 30 August, 2011 At least hoskins got one touch! all over now
SaintRobbie Posted 30 August, 2011 Posted 30 August, 2011 he he he he he he!…. and the Saints go marching on! on! on!
Micky Posted 30 August, 2011 Posted 30 August, 2011 Ahhhhh game over, early nite for me now, early flight tomorrow, airport at 6 in the bleedin' morning...!!! Nite y'all.
hamster Posted 30 August, 2011 Posted 30 August, 2011 Madness, I agree mate. Ricky Lambert coming on! Why?
Alain Perrin Posted 30 August, 2011 Posted 30 August, 2011 Reasons why the match thread is slow. No. 1: Repetitive posts. i.e. nine people posting "Yessss" when Rickie scored. We need an assigned score reporter, the rest of the responses can then be the detailed and insightful analysis for which this board is famed for.
Colinjb Posted 30 August, 2011 Posted 30 August, 2011 It's amazing that even in games like this it can feel horrible when we're under the cosh. A good win against a former jinx side. Looking forward to playing Charlton/Preston.
Dibden Purlieu Saint Posted 30 August, 2011 Posted 30 August, 2011 Another 100% in the old Prediction League.
suewhistle Posted 30 August, 2011 Posted 30 August, 2011 the rest of the responses can then be the detailed and insightful analysis for which this board is famed for. I thought this board was famed for its grammar: see me.
Dibden Purlieu Saint Posted 30 August, 2011 Posted 30 August, 2011 Another 100% in the old Prediction League. Or it would have been if I hadn't put it in the wrong way round. FML.
Johnny Shearer Posted 30 August, 2011 Posted 30 August, 2011 Did Saints tear them a new one then? Sent from my HTC Desire S using Tapatalk

S-Clarke Posted 30 August, 2011 Posted 30 August, 2011 When is the draw? We play Charlton or Preston at home.
hamster Posted 30 August, 2011 Posted 30 August, 2011 If you have sky you need to put sky sport news on NOW. DiCannio fighting with his own player. Blinking eck.Tucker!
markr27 Posted 30 August, 2011 Posted 30 August, 2011 3rd round game highly likely to be played on Wednesday 21st September, given Saints now play Brum on the preceeding Sunday. Sure SSN reported some probs in the tunnel post game - will be on in a few mins I'm sure....
S-Clarke Posted 30 August, 2011 Posted 30 August, 2011 NA: - Good first half, should have been more ruthless. But pleased with the workout - Credit to Swindon for their effort - Trying to pass with purpose, penetrate and get in behind. Always has to be an end product, it's a simple game really. - Had a great start to the season. Exceptionaly good pre-season, players are in good nick. Scored alot of goals, won alot of games. Played good football. Fitness is light years ahead of what it was at Christmas. - De Ridder has a kick on his foot, bit swollen. Doesn't sound too serious. - Chappers has had a bit of an issue with his knee that was sorted out during his 3 game ban, will be available for the next game. - Squad ''could get bigger'' - It's an exciting time isn't it?? Everyone tuning into sky, or the BBC. My phone has been very busy today, as I said at the start most clubs will leave it till the last few days. We're trying to strengthen, but there isn't a massive panic about it. You can throw lots of names at me, but you're not going to get any answers! If it happens it's because we want it to.
hypochondriac Posted 30 August, 2011 Posted 30 August, 2011 Adkins not really saying anything about transfers (no surprise really). My fingers are still crossed for two new faces.
S-Clarke Posted 30 August, 2011 Posted 30 August, 2011 Adkins not really saying anything about transfers (no surprise really). My fingers are still crossed for two new faces. Sounds like things may be in the pipeline though.
hypochondriac Posted 30 August, 2011 Posted 30 August, 2011 Sounds like things may be in the pipeline though. Sounded like we were trying to bring a player or two in yes, but we knew that already...
S-Clarke Posted 30 August, 2011 Posted 30 August, 2011 Sounded like we were trying to bring a player or two in yes, but we knew that already... Most of us did yep, but there is a section that seems to think NA and NC are sat on their arses whistling into the wind.
doddisalegend Posted 30 August, 2011 Posted 30 August, 2011 Rickie one on one uses his pace to beat the defender and bury it Not something you here to often is it? just how slow was their defender?
S-Clarke Posted 30 August, 2011 Posted 30 August, 2011 Not something you here to often is it? just how slow was their defender? tbf Rickie has looked a little faster than I've ever seen him before this season....
hypochondriac Posted 30 August, 2011 Posted 30 August, 2011 Most of us did yep, but there is a section that seems to think NA and NC are sat on their arses whistling into the wind. Really? I haven't seen that being expressed, mostly it was concern for the amount of deals progressed so far and then cancelled or the player walks away for whatever reason.
doddisalegend Posted 30 August, 2011 Posted 30 August, 2011 Pretty easy win that was. Sounds like we got a bit complacent in the second half and took the foot of the gas a bit gave Swindon a glimmer of hope but there was only going to be one winner. Nice to beat Swindon at their place (for a bit of revenge after the last couple of seasons) hopefully we won't have to play them for a very long time now....
doddisalegend Posted 30 August, 2011 Posted 30 August, 2011 tbf Rickie has looked a little faster than I've ever seen him before this season.... True
Flyer Posted 30 August, 2011 Posted 30 August, 2011 Leon Clarke had a fight with PDC in the tunnel, not surprising considering how bad Clarke is and how much of a nut PDC is.
