The Bubble Had To Burst At Some Point... Discus!?!

I don't want to sound like a party pooper and put a downer on things but I was at the game on Sat at Leicester with my mate and yes I was gutted/annoyed that we didn't come away from the game with at least a point had Kasper Schmeichel not made them 3 Amazing Saves right at the death!

So would just like to say that the bubble had to burst at some point and I for one would rather lose to Leicester rather than the SK8S IMHO!!!

Thoughts!?!

Thanks!

I too was at Leicester. The bubble hasn't just burst: we were out played in every department and made to look like the div three side we were. Our players all looked totally out of their depths, were just marking time and frankly it was an embarrassment. How they can sleep at night after such a shoddy performance is beyond me.

Yes, the bubble is burst. Personally I don't think it was ever truly inflated

Lowe out.

THis.

It was men against Boys FFS.

After the ticket price increase, parking charges and now this shambolic performance i am going to write a strongly worded email to Nicola.

This club is a disgrace.

I was at Leicester too.

First half was shocking. Really bad defending. Benny Hill music going on in my head.

Second half, we were much better, but a few times I noticed players taking too many touches when a shot might have been on. The move leading up to the low cross in front of goal was nice. It was really frustrating to come away with nothing, but generally, couldn't fault the second half endeavour.

And if we learn from our mistakes, there were plenty of those to reflect on too.

We lost, we lost to a team that'll be there or thereabouts at the end of the season, we played well, we were unlucky, we found a goalkeeper in the form of his red-nosed life...

The bubble is fine...it's a real season - all those wins were beginning to feel surreal - we'll still play champagne football...it's the Southampton way - tonight we fight fascism (and create an interesting dilemma for a few posters on here...Paolo Di Mussolini or Saints?;)

Don't forget the to mention the lack of signings in your email, NC has a big wedge in his back pocket from the sale of Alex and he's spent fluck all of it so far. ffs.

Some people have been living in an SFC bubble !

Look fella. With the investment in the club, 12 million from sale of nipper, our massive and loyal fanbase and world-class facilities we should have already won the Champions League - twice! - put 8 Challenge Cups in the trophy cabinet and beaten Neptune Athletic in the Solar System final 8-0.

We are SFC, FFS.

When did you become so blinking annoying? Not in a bubble just enjoying the good times at the club at the moment. Get comments at the moment from non saints fans saying the football we are playing is excellent and entertaining. Most of these fans are the premier league fans. Again I would like to see a couple of centre backs come into club to sure up at the back. Not sure we need the striker everyone is on about!!!

I would like to see three players brought in before the window closes.

Just three??

We need a whole new squad before the window closes or it is straight back down for us. We lost to Leicester 3-2 FFS. If we can't beat them at their place then Cortese should rip up all the players contracts and start again. And don't even get me started on our physio-turned-manager. Pathetic. If we lose again before Christmas then our season is well and truly over and all us suckers who bought STs have just wasted our money.

Three will do for a good shout of promotion. Even with no incoming players, this team won't be getting relegated.

We will if we lose again. This is the toughest division in the English league. Dropping 6 points in a season and we will be back in div three. That is why something needs to be done, urgently. We should organise a march. Meet at the Bargate an hour before the next home game and march to SMS to show them what we really think.

Obviously!

We won't win anything with third division players.

Trick now is to get the lads motivated again, their morale will have taken a pounding and one can fear a downward spirral.

Lose tonight and the next home game and suddenly it will look like a much steeper hill to climb just to stay in mid-table and... the window will be firmly shut!

I hope this was 'tongue-in-cheek!' If not we should start worrying as the performance against Millwall was **** poor after the 20 min mark

I'm in, but I tell ya, if no-one else shows, I'm gonna be miffed and will loot McDonalds.

call yourself a Saints fan? It is this sort of defeatist attitude which got us relegated from the Prem in the first place.

even though you're trying to be funny in this thread with your tongue in cheek negativity, it really isn't

Midtable to top 6 without any players coming in, but I still do not believe we need a striker, and I am not sure why people keep going on about needing a stiker. I would prefer 2 centre backs!! The fire power we have is not a problem at all, but the shambolic defending at times is alarming and the area which needs to be addressed in a big way!!
