Nice one, I guess without a game for a week or so it makes sense for him to play - he's going to have enough rest anyway.
Exactly, but i think he would like to play every game anyway just loves it.

Alot of footballers should look up to Adam and his attitude. You can see how much he loves playing just by his performances, you get many players who just strut their stuff for the ££££££ but Adam looks like a totally different breed and it's refreshing to see.

Southampton: Bartosz Bialkowski; Frazer Richardson, Jonathan Forte, Dan Seabourne, Dan Harding; Jack Cork, Guly Do Prado, Aaron Martin, Morgan Schneiderlin; Adam Lallana (Capt), Lee Holmes

no Lambert then, must be wrong.Probably Fonte and not Forte though.

Now that s an interesting line up. No Lambert, off to Rochdale possibly ?

So that will be...

-------------------------BART

RICHARDSON-----MARTIN-----SEABORNE-----HARDING

GULY------SCHNEIDERLIN-----CORK----------HOLMES

------------------FORTE-----LALLANA---------------

I reckon it's Gully up top, Lallana on the left and Holmes on the right.

Having seen Dazza's estimation of the line-up, i've edited mine. Makes more sense. Almost forgot that Guly was a striker!

Think AL will be on the right; but won't be surprised if they swap sides and Forte drops right sometimes. A very fluid interesting formation.

Got Martin and Forte trying out new positions I see!

Subs - Davis, Fonte, Lambert, Hammond, Reeves, Dean, Hoskins

Surprised not to see Chaplow involved...?

I guess that means Dickson is off...maybe Barnard on loan too?

I think Barnard is still injured, that's all I can think of tbh. If he is going out on loan then we must have a striker joining tommorow.

I guess one established midfielder, Hammond, is enough.

Very good that Cork and Schneiderlin are starting - given people have been talking the pairing up, would have been a wasted opportunity not to have gone with it for the sake of resting Cork or giving Chaplow a run out.

Swindon team for anyone that's interested: - Swindon Town: Phil Smith; Paul Caddis (Capt), Alberto Comazzi, Aden Flint, Callum Kennedy; Matt Ritchie, Simon Ferry, Jonathan Smith, Lander Gabilondo; Alan Connell, Leon Clarke

Hardly anyone I remember from their L1 days.

BUT after Saturday we need to make some changes

So PLEASE can someone else start the match thread tonight!

Glad they managed to operate on the correct leg!!

Drinking or sober tonight?

I've had some early doors Old Specky, but up early doors 2mrw so approaching curfew time!! Yet another game sober .... not been a good start to the season for me in that respect!!

Lets give the Yellow shirt a good baptism.

I'd mention that the team out there highlights the need for a striker, but hey, we all know it already. COME ON YOU SAINTS!

Strange line-up in my opinion. Fair few players who could really have done with a run out not even getting a look in. Leaves room for plenty of specualtion anyway!

And if Forte scores a hattrick your have your striker.

I think he has goals in him, but I still view him more as a winger. Guly, in my mind also, is an attacking midfielder too. We need one more out and out striker.
