At no point in his career has he ever been worth more than £750k. Yet, the DFCSB paid £6m for him.

2005–2007 Preston North End Apps 93 GLS 35

2007–2011 Portsmouth Apps 75 GLS 16

Yet people want to pay 6 mill for Rodriguez? Nugent actually had an England cap when the Skates bought him.

Absolute tosser has been at it again before this game, hope he gets the reception he deserves, or goes off injured after 5 minutes.

@marlonpack gonna **** these scummers up! Hahaha

Said on an interview on the LCFC player that the reception he will get from us lot will only spur him on, "I absolutely love it", he said. So if you give him ****, and he scores, its ALL your fault ;)

I'll always have time for Nugent. If it wasn't for players like him, being paid through the nose despite their inherent mediocrity, the fishy phew might not be in the wonderful position they currently enjoy. God bless you Dave, for everything you've done to help Portsmouth FC to where they are today.

At the end of the day he did his talking on the pitch tonight - sometimes, no matter how much you dislike the guy you have to hold your hands up.

Spot on, Micky. He had a really good game tonight. I bet he loved the Northam calling him a &anker.

Unfortunately so, every dog has it's day - tonight was his, class finish. But we'll have better days, and hopefully he will be on the recieving end - that's life.

ffs...don't give it if you can't take it imo.Love the Echo trying to sensationalise..."Saints fans investigated by police" ? um no the OB said they haven't received any complaints so aren't.

Whilst the comments made to him, attributed to a few Saints fans, are OTT and totally inexcusable, I have to agree with your sentiment.

He cast the first stone....

I'm sure I read his hate for Saints fans was down to the fact his car was apparently smashed up by them, whilst he was at p*mpey.

We must've done something to upset him. A Leicester mate of mine said he did an interview a while ago and was asked what club he enjoyed scoring against or would like to score against (something along those lines anyway) and he said Southampton as he hates us. Ha.

The thing is, you spend all week larging it on Twitter, you're going to get abuse and plenty of it off people. Would've been wise for him to keep his mouth shut.

I think most people know he is a complete w****r. All we did was not bother to mark him and so he scores against us which he is paid to do after he was bigging himself up on ****ter. We have other things to deal with as a club like our own poor form not worry about this guy

Sometimes we'd be better off just ignoring ex Skates, you always look a bit stupid when they play as well as Nugent and James have done this season.

Nah, I like the banter. It's part of football. How much do we love it when an ex Saint scores against them lot (which happens a lot it seems).

Nugent likes that sort of atmosphere. Just like Beattie used to. I liked giving him s**t and he lorded it when he scored. Fair play.

No one will ever beat Wayne Bridge's celebration though.
