Baj Posted 25 August, 2011 Posted 25 August, 2011 I'm looking to get a dock for the kitchen, so I bought a ****ty thing from Tesco and it was every bit as **** as I had expected, so over to you guys really. I just want fairly decent sound, I dont need anything like clock, radio etc, just decent speakers so I can pop my iphone in it and charge/listen whilst cooking.
millsy Posted 25 August, 2011 Posted 25 August, 2011 I have two, either of which I can recommend. Would suggest you double check both can charge iphone, I only use them with Ipod touch. Bose one for the Kitchen which sounds good http://www.bose.co.uk/GB/en/home-and-personal-audio/digital-music-solutions/sounddock-systems-for-iphone-and-ipod/sounddock-digital-music-system/ Logitech for the bedroom, but also handy for days out as it has chargeable battery pack http://www.logitech.com/en-gb/speakers-audio/ipod-mp3-speakers/devices/4320
miserableoldgit Posted 25 August, 2011 Posted 25 August, 2011 Depends how much you want to spend but we have this one and we are really pleased with it. Good value for money. Probably get it even cheaper than this if you look around. http://www.amazon.co.uk/GEAR4-HouseParty-Speaker-Dock-Radio/dp/B0018DKQWK
Baj Posted 25 August, 2011 Author Posted 25 August, 2011 The logitech one looks a winner, thanks millsy, and Richer Sounds currently stocking it for £69
Pancake Posted 25 August, 2011 Posted 25 August, 2011 +1 for the Bose. Aftersales is excellent with them too.
Baj Posted 25 August, 2011 Author Posted 25 August, 2011 looks good but not looking to spend that much!

millsy Posted 25 August, 2011 Posted 25 August, 2011 The logitech one looks a winner, thanks millsy, and Richer Sounds currently stocking it for £69 That is a great deal. Don't think you can go far wrong at that price.
Baj Posted 25 August, 2011 Author Posted 25 August, 2011 £5 a year membership people. Yeah. Brilliant.
JB Posted 28 August, 2011 Posted 28 August, 2011 Recently bought an iMaingo X to take on holiday and use out and about. The sound is really good and it's more versatile than a normal docking station. I think it was £69 from Amazon.
JB Posted 28 August, 2011 Posted 28 August, 2011 Obviously a bit useless if you need something that charges your iStuff though :-)
Stepgar Posted 11 September, 2011 Posted 11 September, 2011 The logitech one looks a winner, thanks millsy, and Richer Sounds currently stocking it for £69 Bam this is brilliant. I have one of these and I take everywhere with me as it has built in battery so you can take it out to the park or wherever. Just come back from Tenerife and used by the pool pretty much all day.
