I see the squad has been picked as that Lallana has not been included.

This is why the lower league players go to the bigger clubs as it helps them get in the England setup.

Oxy is included, now that's a ****ing joke.

To be honest I have not heard of 10 of the players and I can say Lallana is a class above them.

and lallana is older than all of them

Is Lallana not too old to be considered for the next Championships?

I assume that is what Pearce would be building towards.

Cathch 22

I don't want him in the U21s as we don't want to put him in the shop window too much

BUT

Like you say, the player might look to go somewhere else to get the selection

HOWEVER

Lallana is too old to be in the U21s so it doesn't matter

Lallana is 23 years old. He is no longer eligible for the under 21's!

He was eligible for the UEFA under 21 Euro tournament in the summer because he was under 21 when the qualifying started.

In any case, Lallana and Chamberlain both received international recognition at under 21 level whilst in League One with Southampton.

Well that's alright then!

To keep this thread going why Oxy as bench warmers should not be allowed in.

to be fair, we should be bringing through young talent...and he is very much that..isnt that what the U21s is ultimately for....?

From what I saw of the U21s, the farther we keep Lallana away from Pearce the better.

Oh, so well put. Pearce is so far off the pace. I really do think he is either blind or star struck or both but no where near the calibre we need in the England set up.

I reckon Lambert should have got picked as well, and Connolly and Jaidi.

Pearce is a f*cking mong.

Pearce is a mong and I was wrong too, however the future of international football for England could be good with some of those young Manchester United kids coming through but Pearce/Capello will screw them up.

A more worrying concept is that Pearce is being groomed for the England hot seat. A man who has, on more than one occasion, tried to change a game under his charge by bringing on from the bench a goalkeeper to play up front, while neglecting other forwards also on the bench.

I can not believe that Pearce will get anywhere near the top job, after the McLaren fiasco even the dullards at the FA are not daft enough to appoint someone like Pearce. He can barely string a sentence together and his managerial experience is f^ck all.

Pearce was appointed to the U21's in recollection of the chest thumping image he had,as a fop to those complaining about Crappello, and another bloody foreigner etc.
