farawaysaint Posted 5 February, 2012 Posted 5 February, 2012 Pulis tries hard I mean he really does but if you can only get jobs through your Dad's intervention at 27 it might be time to bite the bullet and admit you're not cut out for pro football. If any of us had the talent lets face it we'd be playing. I fully admit that though I love football I am and ever was far too pish to have considered it as a career and Anthony however nice he may be should suffer the same realization and find what he is good at.
oldskoolsi Posted 5 February, 2012 Posted 5 February, 2012 "The technically gifted midfielder" HAHAHAHA
SaintRichmond Posted 6 February, 2012 Posted 6 February, 2012 It describes him as a " technically gifted midfielder" on that Stoke website !! It simply means he can operate a TV Remote controller
SaintRichmond Posted 6 February, 2012 Posted 6 February, 2012 Made me laugh as well! The kid barely passes as a footballer, let alone a technically gifted one! This ..........
Alain Perrin Posted 6 February, 2012 Posted 6 February, 2012 The only reason we managed to keep Surman as long as we did was because we off loaded Davies. Davies was crocked when he left and I don't know if he is back to full fitness now, but he was of just as great value to Stoke as Forecast has been to us. Pulis is equally useless but I would say the best bit of business we did all of that season, enabling us to get £1.25M for Davies. The Davies deal was one of the best pieces of transfer dealing Saints have done considering all the implications and that includes having to take Pulis. ^ This. Our finances were so fubar'd at the time that siging someone on £4K per week but getting the inflow of transfer funds (from Davies / Bale) as a result was preferable. The deals may not have been contingent but it helps oil the wheels. Ironically Pulis' indirect contribution may have been what kept the club afloat long enough for Markus to buy us. On that basis alone we should get him a statue.....
Golden Balls Posted 6 February, 2012 Posted 6 February, 2012 Can Pulis actually get a club without the help of his Dad?
Golden Balls Posted 6 February, 2012 Posted 6 February, 2012 And what's Forecast done that's given him such a bad reputation off the field? Just been a general woman beating c**t about town.
FloridaMarlin Posted 13 August, 2012 Posted 13 August, 2012 I can't start threads. Pulis has pitched up in Orlando. http://sportsvibe.co.uk/features/football/brits-abroad-11265/anthony-pulis-on-life-in-orlando-19141/

LeBenali Posted 13 August, 2012 Posted 13 August, 2012 Can Pulis actually get a club without the help of his Dad? The reason he's playing in Orlando is because his aunt lives out there, I believe he went out there to visit and somehow blagged a trial. Think they're in the second tier of USA football, not a great standard, but who would honestly say they'd turn down a job like that!
david in sweden Posted 14 August, 2012 Posted 14 August, 2012 It simply means he can operate a TV Remote controller ..as long as he has the instruction book handy - just in case.
