Does Lambert get fair treatment from Refs?

After watching our Rickie get pushed ,grabbed and kicked chunks out off yet again by the oppostion today. Does anyone else think Rickie gets the short end of the straw from refs.

I'm willing to admit I could just be baised but it seems like Rickie rarely gets any protection from refs. One incident today I saw a Millwall defender with both arms wrapped around Rickie only for the ref to give Millwall a free kick for Rickie backing in.

What do others think?

That and continually getting shoved in the back. I have always thought they were free kicks but after this amount of time and the referees giving nothing, I don't think things are going to change. It's has to be up to Ricky to change his game, surprised how easily he is nudged off the ball for such a big guy.

I think he gets fouled alot without getting the free-kicks he deserves but it happens at both ends. A few times today Harding, Seaborne and Fonte were holding and grabbing but it wasn't given. Henderson was a dirty bastard though, he flung an arm at Seaborne in the first half and then caught him in the second, why isn't it a red card? Raise hands to the face?

No.

Ishat a No you don't think or a No Rickie doesn't get protection FFS?

FWIW I listened to half the game on the Millwall commentary and they seemed to think Fonte was climbing and arm wrapping all ther time without being penalised.

Having said that 2nd hald Merry Davington and Lolz were convinced Seaborne was smacked in the face twice in 5 minutes by their CF.

It's a "Does Lambert get fair treatment from Refs?" No FFS. OBVI!!!!

In the referee's defence, Fonté was doing this all game, but the ref allowed play to carry on.

Some refs blow up, others let it go, but today the ref was consistent for both sides.

A decent display from D'Urso I thought.

agree with the first part, they had a very good shout for a pen in the first half, but didn't you think the elbow was deserved of a red, and he totally ignored when he did it again shortly after?

As soon as I saw the thread I thought of that incident. Half of the time in the official site's gallery you'll see opposition defenders with a handful of his shirt or an armful of his face. It's difficult to call, but so far I think he's had more decisions go his way than in League One.

As already posted,Rickie is far,far too honest a player,as I said to my best mate on numeroUs occasions, how many times does he have to be fouled before he

wins a free kick. The answer today was at least a dozen.

Fonte And Seaborne, got away with quite a few today as well, but then that should not count against Rickie so often.[Like it is being evened out].

In a world of diving cheats, Rickie is too honest for his good. He would get more if he fell over occasionally. Having said that he is a big unit and takes a hell of a lot of knocking over!

Even when he does get knocked over, 9 times out of 10 he gets back up with little fuss and drama. He'll need to change that habit if we make it to the Prem', where rolling around and crying like a girl is the accepted norm.

The short answer is "No, he doesn't". He should be given far more free kicks than he gets but, as Bailey says above, Fonte should have a lot more free kicks given against him. Swings and roundabouts.

I was outraged at two incidents in the second half.

The one where he was being held as he tried to turn and D'Urso gave Millwall the free kick, and the other near the end when a Millwall player came up behind him as the ball came from Davis and Rickie just fell like a sack of potatoes because the Millwall player pulled off something not very visible (and hence D'Urso didnt give anything) but it obviously hurt.

But I have to also agree, he seems to go down quite a lot for such a big bloke.
