You are disappointed to get 23k vs Millwall, in the Championship, in August?

Have you seen the other attendances around the country?

Yes and no.

Yes and no.

Forest vs Leicester 24k (big derby game)

Derby vs Doncaster 23k

Saints vs Millwall 23k

Brighton Blackpool 19k

Bristol City vs Pompey 12k

Burnley vs Cardiff 13k

Coventry vs Watford 13k

Hull vs Palace 17k

Peterborough vs Ipswich 7k

Reading vs Barnsley 15k

Saints relative to similar sized clubs are getting what you should expect in the conditions. Saints vs Leeds in week one had a higher attendance than West Ham vs Cardiff.

August is holiday season and Millwall aren't exactly a family friendly opponent. To get 23k is a very good attendance in the Championship.

That's impressive if correct, given the fact it was on TV, which normally reduces attendances.

It is true. :)

(admittedly only marginally bigger and both games were on TV)

West Ham vs Cardiff 25,680 http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/14356630.stm

Southampton vs Leeds 25,960 http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/14351913.stm

Absolutely massive amounts of empty seats at that West Ham game as a result of segregation from what I could see.

Not a great crowd in yesterday, but certainly not a bad one either. I would like to think we could get well over 25k on a regular basis if this form keeps up.

Looked a lot more than that I thought

That's what I thought too...I usually try to guess low to restrict the bullsh*t factor and I'd guessed 25-26k..no reason for under-quoting (I mean we pay our taxes and everything) but I was a little surprised it wasn't more.

I thought it was a mistake, looked a far bigger crowd but I suppose Milwall brought about 1500 less than Leeds so must be about right.
