Saint Garrett Posted 18 August, 2011 Posted 18 August, 2011 No better than what we have IMO. As much as i like him, just like Santa Cruz and Beckford....would rather have hungry players rather then people on their way down.
This Charming Man Posted 18 August, 2011 Posted 18 August, 2011 There's a reason he's had his contract ripped up and it's not because he's got sh*t hair.
Matthew Le God Posted 18 August, 2011 Posted 18 August, 2011 They mainly want rid of him because he is on £40k - £50k per week. Hence Hull have been looking for any excuse to end that deal asap. I bet if he was on £15k p/w they would overlook whatever he did (within reason) and wouldn't be trying to cancel his contract. In any case, where would he fit into the Saints squad? And at 32 years old with huge wage demands, he doesn't exactly fit the profile for Saints signings.
TK8267 Posted 18 August, 2011 Author Posted 18 August, 2011 i agree i dont think he would fit into the saints squad i just wondered if anyone did think he would
Dellman Posted 18 August, 2011 Posted 18 August, 2011 High ego, high wages and disruptive, the very opposite of everything NA and NC are building: no thank you, not as a gift.

rshephard3 Posted 18 August, 2011 Posted 18 August, 2011 Would not get in the team and would expect wages above and beyond what is reasonable for a 2nd tier club, hence his contract termination
ExSt Peter Saint Posted 18 August, 2011 Posted 18 August, 2011 I disagree NOT! Why would you want him in the team ahead of Cork, Hammond, Morgan etc?
Colinjb Posted 18 August, 2011 Posted 18 August, 2011 No. Would be able to do a job for someone but not us.
beavis17 Posted 18 August, 2011 Posted 18 August, 2011 A Leicester or West Ham signing if ever I saw one.
shurlock Posted 18 August, 2011 Posted 18 August, 2011 No- let the craggy-faced gypo decimate somebody else's wage structure.
The Kraken Posted 18 August, 2011 Posted 18 August, 2011 Good player, but probable attitude-problems and his career seems to have been going backwards for a few years. A Hull-supporting mate told me an interesting rumour about him; that when Hull originally wanted to sell or loan him off their books they were looking at shelving him to Celtic, who were sniffing around. The allegation is that Bullard was prepared to do it only if Hull continued to pay his wages (around £45K per week) and Celtic also chipped in £30K per week on top. True or not, aside from that he seems a bit of a mercenary anyway and as I said, his career has been in decline since his Premier League days.
Saint Posted 18 August, 2011 Posted 18 August, 2011 He's also only behind Owen Hargreaves in the league table of injury proneness.
Saint Fan CaM Posted 18 August, 2011 Posted 18 August, 2011 There's a reason he's had his contract ripped up and it's not because he's got sh*t hair. This.
once_bitterne Posted 18 August, 2011 Posted 18 August, 2011 Who nose why he was sacked? I'm sure the issue was not to be sniffed at.......
saintsmike25 Posted 18 August, 2011 Posted 18 August, 2011 No thanks, disruptive influence, high wages, old, injury prone.
LGTL Posted 18 August, 2011 Posted 18 August, 2011 Regardless of the fact that he wouldn't get anywhere near our 1st team, he also has rubbish hair, is a cock who think he's funny, is on massive wages and too injury prone. Expect him at Pompey or Leicester soon.
stkev7 Posted 18 August, 2011 Posted 18 August, 2011 Mercenary ****! He'll end up at WHU as stated above.
Brussels Saint Posted 18 August, 2011 Posted 18 August, 2011 Nope! Great player in his day, but that day has passed. Been so long since he has done anything, so cant figure out why we would risk the reported wages, disruption etc. Beckford worth the risk, Bullard not.
100%Red&White Posted 18 August, 2011 Posted 18 August, 2011 Would not get in the team and would expect wages above and beyond what is reasonable for a 2nd tier club, hence his contract termination Nailed on for the bankrupt skates then.
once_bitterne Posted 18 August, 2011 Posted 18 August, 2011 Massively overrated. Has scored 39 league goals in his career, only slightly better than what MLT used to get per season.
This Charming Man Posted 18 August, 2011 Posted 18 August, 2011 Who nose why he was sacked? I'm sure the issue was not to be sniffed at....... I'm not quite sure what you're trying to imply here...
Hatch Posted 18 August, 2011 Posted 18 August, 2011 Who nose why he was sacked? I'm sure the issue was not to be sniffed at.......
latter day saint Posted 18 August, 2011 Posted 18 August, 2011 no thank you! why would you have that greedy, lantern jawed, injury prone gypo in the team when you can have the all round wholesome goodness that is Jack Cork.
dronskisaint Posted 18 August, 2011 Posted 18 August, 2011 High ego, high wages and disruptive, the very opposite of everything NA and NC are building: no thank you, not as a gift. ...+1
geordiesaint Posted 18 August, 2011 Posted 18 August, 2011 No way! I like him as a play actually - well i did during the Wigan/Fulham Days. I have it on v good authority though that he is a total and utter nutter. Doing all sorts of craziness in the dressing room and elsewhere, practical jokes and the like. Some players liked it and found him hilarious, others did not. There is also a significant reason that his contract was terminated. Nothing ground breaking but not the kind of behavior we want or need. And he is past it now anyway.
Verbal Posted 18 August, 2011 Posted 18 August, 2011 Who nose why he was sacked? I'm sure the issue was not to be sniffed at....... He deserves a smack?
Midfield_General Posted 18 August, 2011 Posted 18 August, 2011 No- let the craggy-faced gypo decimate somebody else's wage structure. Beautifully put
saints-cris Posted 18 August, 2011 Posted 18 August, 2011 Good player, but high wages, injured a bit and we dont need him.
gammon cheeks Posted 18 August, 2011 Posted 18 August, 2011 being released good signing for us?? Opinions? Has been and never will be! striker and centre half will do us nicely the squad will be then complete .
david in sweden Posted 18 August, 2011 Posted 18 August, 2011 being released good signing for us?? Opinions? absolutely NOT ! Hull paid over the odds for him in the first place, he played very few games for them when in the Prem. and even less now .....AND he's on 40K week!
Thorpe-le-Saint Posted 18 August, 2011 Posted 18 August, 2011 Injury prone, high wage demands and nowhere near good enough at the moment to get into our midfield.
hughieslastminutegoal Posted 18 August, 2011 Posted 18 August, 2011 No. Would be able to do a job for someone but not us. You mean "Would be able to do a job ON someone but not ON us, thank you."
Prince Jazzbo Posted 18 August, 2011 Posted 18 August, 2011 What made me laugh about him, is how he sort of touted himself for the German national side because he had a german grandmother or something.
Dark Munster Posted 18 August, 2011 Posted 18 August, 2011 being released good signing for us?? Opinions? Thread title: Jimmy Bullard - HCDAJFU
S-Clarke Posted 18 August, 2011 Posted 18 August, 2011 totally agree with what everyone says. Total opposite of the players we're looking to sign. ....and we don't need another midfielder.
Painswick Saint Posted 18 August, 2011 Posted 18 August, 2011 Good player in his day - at present injury prone, wage demands too high, and likely disruptive influence on squad. Thank you, but no thank you
Micky Posted 18 August, 2011 Posted 18 August, 2011 God, I hope we don't go and sign him now - given the overwhelming vote of no confidence. My opinion FWIW - if you move from an upwardly mobile Fulham FC to a faltering Hull City, no matter what you say, the main driving force has to have been money. As somebody else said - avoid.
St Chalet Posted 18 August, 2011 Posted 18 August, 2011 No (I have to add this line as my reply was too short otherwise)
sidthesquid Posted 18 August, 2011 Posted 18 August, 2011 He'll turn up at Nottarf Krap, best place for him. Yesterday's hero.
