sussexsaint Posted 17 August, 2011 Share Posted 17 August, 2011 Still 13 goals in total by Mid August for a team who are appreantly still loking for a striker really aint that bad. I've bought enough end of season videos in the past where you have to go a long way in to get up to that
dubai_phil Posted 17 August, 2011 Share Posted 17 August, 2011 I remember the days when we seemed to struggle to score 9 goals in a season back in 02 03 & 04 we managed 43 44 and 45 goals all season (38 games) In 2000 we managed 40.. 86 last season in 46 games Wouldn't it be wonderful if we could really push on and aim for the magnificent 100 this year... Yeh right
VectisSaint Posted 17 August, 2011 Share Posted 17 August, 2011 9 league goals, 9 league points, 9 league wins in a row. The number 9 is good for us at the moment.

Speaking of number 9, where is Lee Barnard? I feel his injury is being under-played. More serious than first feared or fit again and unable to get in the team? ericofarabia Posted 17 August, 2011 Share Posted 17 August, 2011 I see nothing has been done about improving our p!ss poor goal return from Corners, and what is the point of Lambo being such a good penalty taker, he hasn't even been close this season!! At least Skatesmuff nearly scored with the last kick of the game V Brighton!! Still plenty of work to be done - at least 2 more centre forwards and a couple of attacking midfielders might help. Seriously though, some of the goals we have scored already this season have been superb, great team work combined with great individual skills. Saturday might be a different kettle of fish as I think Millwall will come with one intention and that is 0-0 with 10 defenders and team bus parked in front of the goal, for as long as they can and then hope for a breakaway goal, where as the other games have been pretty open. But with Nige's great knowledge of buses I reckon we will still win handsomely. Patience will be a great virtue to have amongst both players and fans - especially with such high expectations and a big crowd swelled by JCL's which sometimes dilutes the atmosphere. SuperMikey Posted 17 August, 2011 Share Posted 17 August, 2011 If we kept going at this rate, we'd end up with 138 goals for the season. Not bad eh?
The Kraken Posted 17 August, 2011 Share Posted 17 August, 2011 If we kept going at this rate, we'd end up with 138 goals for the season. Not bad eh? And 138 points. Nice and symmetrical.
paulwantsapint Posted 17 August, 2011 Share Posted 17 August, 2011 We do need to improve from set plays but if we can keep winning at a 3-1 average with all ours from open play its not too bad
