sammysaint Posted 20 August, 2011 Share Posted 20 August, 2011 Only been to leeds @home this season and i thought he was ok on the wing, i think Deridder would be better then and Guly would be better as a striker as proven last season but DC is keeping people out the team with his goal a game ratio. (not THE) Kevin Moore Posted 20 August, 2011 Share Posted 20 August, 2011 When I saw him against Leeds he was class, and worked his socks off too, the movement and interplay between him, cork, Lambert, connolly and lallana was mesmerising at times. I think de Ridder will mainly be used as an Impact sub with his pace and skills against tired defences. Some of Guly's touch offs have been superb, and his lay off for Connolly on Tues was entusiastically acknowledged by DC. Respect from senior pros like that must do your confidence a world of good. And playing like Brazil must make it a home from home

Silvercherry Saint Posted 20 August, 2011 Share Posted 20 August, 2011 Was class today, worked his ****ing socks off. I know he's not everyone favourite and perhaps is a bit unpredictable. I think he makes great runs inside which create more space for the front men and runners from midfield to exploit. In a tough tight game today he made the difference. IOWSaintDaz Posted 20 August, 2011 Share Posted 20 August, 2011 Think the beeb need to sack there researcher "Guly - a signing from Fiorentina last year" ?????? http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/14514615.stm Correct me if i'm wrong Mr BBC researcher but didn't he come from Cesena
CHAPEL END CHARLIE Posted 20 August, 2011 Share Posted 20 August, 2011 A well taken goal for sure, but describing Guly's performance today as "first class' is so OTT the comment must have been written on a airplane. If we want to talk about true first class performances you need look no further than the magnificent effort our often overlooked goalkeeper put it. Goals win games, but without Kelvin we would have lost today in my opinion.

He raised panic in their defence every time he got the ball and started and completed the move for his goal. He was everywhere in midfield and then continued to spook them when he moved up front. Yep -Kelv protected the lead but Guly got it.
