He's awesome. I thought he was quality, but I didn't know he was this good. He's improved so much since he was last with us and could quite clearly be a competent mid-table premiership midfielder, don't have any doubts about that.

 

He's got grit, energy, skill, poise, pace....he's got everything that you need in a midfielder. Such a class act.

Cork is a very important part of what we are doing, but equally the way we attack is so effective and balanced. The way we open up from one side then pass through a team is something exceptional which has come off the training ground. We could not do it without Cork, but equally what is being done from that platform is truly exceptional and goes down to the other players and the coaching staff. Take a bow Southampton, playing football that makes us all 10' higher, wondrous stuff.

Still can't believe Chelsea let him go. They're crying out for youth in their team, and they sell the best young players they have coming through their own system.

Funnily enough, a friend of the family who works for Chelsea has coached cork since the age of 9 and thought that he was limited as a player & that he would struggle to become a pro.

 

I was quite surprised to hear that but he said he was an absolutely top bloke.
