Asaint4ever Posted 16 August, 2011 Posted 16 August, 2011 just shows how little that scum of a club is!
action man Posted 16 August, 2011 Author Posted 16 August, 2011 only had 16,496 for the brighton game the blue few just got fewer
Crab Lungs Posted 16 August, 2011 Posted 16 August, 2011 Small-time, revolting club with no principles. Football's karmic God's are resetting the balance...
Jack Posted 16 August, 2011 Posted 16 August, 2011 Must be tough for them. I dint think I'd have the time or money with 17 kids and jobseekers allowance.
sfc1971 Posted 16 August, 2011 Posted 16 August, 2011 Lock or move this to lounge please Mod`s. This site is slow enough on a match day without having Threads about Cheat`s FC on the main Forum thankyou !
Micky Posted 16 August, 2011 Posted 16 August, 2011 Ho will tell you that the lack of numbers is due to the high prices and low quality - they are still the bestest fans on the planet - fact.
SW11_Saint Posted 16 August, 2011 Posted 16 August, 2011 Pathetically fickle fans, and a small ramshackle club. Also noticed Blackpools gates have halved. Clearly lots of JCL's last year.
hamster Posted 16 August, 2011 Posted 16 August, 2011 When will the PL organisers realise that top flight football and school holidays just do not mix? Expect their numbers to soar once the £9.50 Sun holiday deals end.
Micky Posted 16 August, 2011 Posted 16 August, 2011 Pathetically fickle fans, and a small ramshackle club. Also noticed Blackpools gates have halved. Clearly lots of JCL's last year. Really...????
lordswoodsaints Posted 17 August, 2011 Posted 17 August, 2011 would you pay £30 a ticket to watch a shower of sh!t in a sh!thole of a ground?
dune Posted 17 August, 2011 Posted 17 August, 2011 It's quality not quantity. They've gone quiet about being the biggest club now.
PaulSaint Posted 17 August, 2011 Posted 17 August, 2011 Can you still buy that Pimpley Book called "Sleeping Giant".
dune Posted 17 August, 2011 Posted 17 August, 2011 Lock or move this to lounge please Mod`s. This site is slow enough on a match day without having Threads about Cheat`s FC on the main Forum thankyou ! + any Skates that may pop in can't see this on the main board.
chocco boxo Posted 17 August, 2011 Posted 17 August, 2011 Greatest fans in the country! Will they be allocating us the Fratton End as well in December?
JackFrost Posted 17 August, 2011 Posted 17 August, 2011 Our attendance against Leeds was virtually double their attendance last night
bender Posted 17 August, 2011 Posted 17 August, 2011 Will someone please tell me how they can afford Benjani ??
JackFrost Posted 17 August, 2011 Posted 17 August, 2011 Will someone please tell me how they can afford Benjani ?? Antonov and Dubnov have got plenty of laundered money they need to be rid of quick?
miserableoldgit Posted 17 August, 2011 Posted 17 August, 2011 Will someone please tell me how they can afford Benjani ?? It was them or Stockport apparently. Can`t imagine that Stockport were offering too much.
STEVEADAMS Posted 17 August, 2011 Posted 17 August, 2011 What made me laugh was the headline I saw " Pompey announce Fratton Park redevelopment" A whole 100k !! To be spent as follows Fix guttering leaks so fans don't get wet Move screen to middle of stand Refurbish some toilets Should be a lovely ground after this redevelopment
dubai_phil Posted 17 August, 2011 Posted 17 August, 2011 Our attendance against Leeds was virtually double their attendance last night And our fans could have watched the game for the price of a couple of pints down the pub as it was on telly. Mind you Saturday's attendance will be interesting
This Charming Man Posted 17 August, 2011 Posted 17 August, 2011 Why is anyone surprised? Their crowds in the lower leagues have always been terrible. They're a small, tinpot club with rubbish support. 11k for a NPC game is nothing short of a disgrace.
FMPR Posted 17 August, 2011 Posted 17 August, 2011 So 3 home games in a week is easy to finance then? £79 for an adult to watch all three excluding travel costs
This Charming Man Posted 17 August, 2011 Posted 17 August, 2011 So 3 home games in a week is easy to finance then? £79 for an adult to watch all three excluding travel costs Make all the excuses you want, 11k is appalling. We got crowds bigger than that in the JPT.
dubai_phil Posted 17 August, 2011 Posted 17 August, 2011 So 3 home games in a week is easy to finance then? £79 for an adult to watch all three excluding travel costs When Saturday Comes...... We'll see Still the good news for the few is they won't have to worry about stretching their benefits out to any more Carling Cup matches
JackFrost Posted 17 August, 2011 Posted 17 August, 2011 What made me laugh was the headline I saw " Pompey announce Fratton Park redevelopment" A whole 100k !! To be spent as follows Fix guttering leaks so fans don't get wet Move screen to middle of stand Refurbish some toilets Should be a lovely ground after this redevelopment I think that was announced in The News. "Redevelopment" was basically PR speak for "doing the minimum to keep the health & safety bods happy"
FMPR Posted 17 August, 2011 Posted 17 August, 2011 Make all the excuses you want, 11k is appalling. We got crowds bigger than that in the JPT. And how many turned out for the ML Trophy? You might not have noticed personally but for many people monney is very tight right now.
bender Posted 17 August, 2011 Posted 17 August, 2011 It was them or Stockport apparently. Can`t imagine that Stockport were offering too much. Is Benjani sh1t now then?
miserableoldgit Posted 17 August, 2011 Posted 17 August, 2011 So 3 home games in a week is easy to finance then? £79 for an adult to watch all three excluding travel costs In all honesty FMPR, how do you think that in the same situation Saints crowds would have been affected? Especially as both of your league games were against near neighbours. Do you think that we would have got more than 16000 last night?
miserableoldgit Posted 17 August, 2011 Posted 17 August, 2011 Is Benjani sh1t now then? Don`t really know, but if the only clubs that wanted him were Skates and Stockport, it would suggest so.
This Charming Man Posted 17 August, 2011 Posted 17 August, 2011 And how many turned out for the ML Trophy? You might not have noticed personally but for many people monney is very tight right now. You're clutching at straws when you need to use our attendances for friendlies to try and justify your pathetic League support.
FMPR Posted 17 August, 2011 Posted 17 August, 2011 In all honesty FMPR, how do you think that in the same situation Saints crowds would have been affected? Especially as both of your league games were against near neighbours. Do you think that we would have got more than 16000 last night? Last post of the day for me, but I suspect the pricing for you is a bit more reasonable than ours right now as we are still on prices set by Chainrai. On the gate price is £32 for a game and Barnet last week was £15. If memory serves we were paying £35 or £37 when we had our super team in the Prem so a lot as finding the current prices not exactly "value" for money. You guys are on the crest of a wave right now with everything that Adkins is touching is turned to gold, fair play to you. My own personal view is when the league starts to balance out you will finish between 14th and 8th which for most promoted clubs is very good, then on the proviso Cortese hasnt sacked Adkins I think you will be very high up the table next season by virtue of the teams that come down from the Prem this year are nowhere near as strong as what came down last year.
This Charming Man Posted 17 August, 2011 Posted 17 August, 2011 In all honesty FMPR, how do you think that in the same situation Saints crowds would have been affected? Especially as both of your league games were against near neighbours. Do you think that we would have got more than 16000 last night? I believe last season we played 5 home games in one month, then when we played Brighton (the 4th game of those 5) , we managed a crowd of 27k. This was obviously in the league below as well. In fact, we played 8 out of 9 games at home during a 2 month spell thanks to the weather and only once did our crowds for league games drop under 20k and that was only by a few hundred. They were normally around the 22/24k mark. 13k is truly pathetic.
Matthew Le God Posted 17 August, 2011 Posted 17 August, 2011 (edited) Last post of the day for me, but I suspect the pricing for you is a bit more reasonable than ours right now as we are still on prices set by Chainrai. On the gate price is £32 for a game and Barnet last week was £15. On the gate price for all Saints league games is £32 in the Itchen/Kingsland centre stands and the Torquay game cost £14. Haven't Pompey got categories this season, so some games will cost less than £32 on the day of the game? You really can't use that as an excuse for why Pompey get 11k home fans and Saints get 23k home fans. Nor can you blame the economy, as it is the same for both sets of fans. um pahars Posted 17 August, 2011 Posted 17 August, 2011 (edited) On the gate price is £32 On the gate price last night at Portsmuff was £27 (Reading friend had to buy his on the night). An equivalent for us would also be £29 if bought on the day. Take out those 1,500 Reading fans out and the attendance was appalling!!!!!! I couldn't believe the Brighton attendance (even with those Brighton fans in the home end), but last night was awful. Edited 17 August, 2011 by um pahars
SaintRichmond Posted 17 August, 2011 Posted 17 August, 2011 13,438 there tonight, has there support got that bad? That's pretty good You can't get much more in a Skip
SaintRichmond Posted 17 August, 2011 Posted 17 August, 2011 Will someone please tell me how they can afford Benjani ?? Can someone please tell me how they can afford to "buy" (joke) ANYBODY ??? Question for the Sweet F A ....... How long before they run up another £150M debt ??
darren2 Posted 17 August, 2011 Posted 17 August, 2011 It'll be full of plastics for our game, you see!!
SaintRichmond Posted 17 August, 2011 Posted 17 August, 2011 Can you still buy that Pimpley Book called "Sleeping Giant". Now renamed "Creeping Ant"
70's Mike Posted 17 August, 2011 Posted 17 August, 2011 not sure how many season tickets they sold but wonder how many of the 13k actually paid for the game, here in border country the Blue Few that appeared over the last 3 years have slowly gone back under their stones until December
RedWillie Posted 17 August, 2011 Posted 17 August, 2011 i thought that was quite good for pimpey. It'll tail off to around 10 k
stanthemanfairoak Posted 17 August, 2011 Posted 17 August, 2011 2000 Reading in that total.......NO 2800.
Punk Posted 17 August, 2011 Posted 17 August, 2011 Can anyone also explain why their games are still getting priority on Solent radio?
EastleighSoulBoy Posted 17 August, 2011 Posted 17 August, 2011 Can anyone also explain why their games are still getting priority on Solent radio? It does depend on which frequency you are tuned into. 96.1 will give you Saints unless they are not playing. I listened to it last night.
