shirleysfc Posted 16 August, 2011 Share Posted 16 August, 2011 Hi, Does anyone know if there is a contact at SFC for Saints Player? I'm having issues with Perform Group regading my cancelled subscription. The story... I cancelled my subscription online through my Saints Player account. Even after I cancelled they continued to take the renewell money from my bank account. I contacted them telling them to refund the money and they denied they'd taken it. I told them I could see they'd taken it on my online banking and they said it was an authorisation call to make sure I had the money in my account and that nothing was taken. I called my bank got the reference number for the transaction and emailed Perform again to say: a) You have taken money - give it back!! AND b) WTF are you doing checking I have funds in my account AFTER I've cancelled my subscription. They've come back to me this morning asking for a screenshot of my online banking! I've asked them several times to call me regarding this and I've heard nothing!! Starting to get p1ssed off now!!
dune Posted 16 August, 2011 Share Posted 16 August, 2011 I signed up for 6 months and paid in advance, but a few days ago my subscription ran out and they decided to start debiting monthly payments @ 4.29/month.
shirleysfc Posted 16 August, 2011 Author Share Posted 16 August, 2011 I knew it was a rolling subscription but I expected them to stop taking money after I cancelled!

Phone your bank, they'll refund the DD I should imagine. Also cancel the DD toute de bloody suite.
stevegrant Posted 16 August, 2011 Share Posted 16 August, 2011 Under the Direct Debit scheme, if you can prove to your bank that you have not authorised a payment, they can cancel and reclaim the money on your behalf. Perform would then be charged a penalty fee for the privilege. Did they send an email confirmation that the subscription had been cancelled? If so, take copies of that and any other correspondence with them to your bank and they'll be able to sort it.
mancsaint Posted 16 August, 2011 Share Posted 16 August, 2011 Did you cancel within five working days of the due date? This can cause problems.
shirleysfc Posted 16 August, 2011 Author Share Posted 16 August, 2011 Did you cancel within five working days of the due date? This can cause problems. No, but it was before the due date. I've just noticed this in the terms: 6.1.3.If you cancel prior to this 5 working day period access to the Services will be terminated at the end of the relevant period. If you cancel during this 5 working day period you will be charged for the following month, year or relevant period and access to the Services will terminate on expiry of that following month. Can they really charge me another £35.99 even though I cancelled before the end of the 2010/2011 subscription year and then terminate my service after one month?? Surely if I cancel anytime before the end of the end of the subscription that should be good enough... what has 5 days got to do with anything??
