I'd have him back fast and direct was always good to watch. TBH I think Reading screwed him over we wanted him he wanted to come here reading got greedy and his devolopment ended up stalled another season with us in league one would have done him the world of good.

What he said. If he'd spent last season with us he would be an excellent impact sub.

I liked him.

I remember our game at SMS in the league, Antonio came off the bench when we were 1-0 down and he transformed the match

This time last year we had threads saying we should sign him for £500k

This time last year we were having a bad start in League 1.

We loved him for his potential. He had great moments and he had awful moments. Apart from his build he brings little in the moments category that we do not already have with Forte (who started our whole run off against MKD)

Now we are looking for players with the potential to KEEP us in the PL if the backroom staff think he could do that & recommend him to NA then great but I seriously doubt it.

I kind of agree, although I think we can do better. Also the 5 sub rule works against him. With the amount of quality midfielders and strikers we have (+1 to that list if we get in someone else) he'd struggle to get on the bench for most games.

Yes well said. A good player who would do well under Nigel's watchful coaching eye. I loved him and was a star at Wembley - would he cut it now - it's very hard to say but undoutedly he would have done much better coming to us than staying with Reading.....

We moved on too far since he was here to consider him again. It took me a long while to understand why on earth Pardew borrowed him, since he looke totally hopeless to start with. Things got better and I enjoyed especially two things about him: Firstly, not wanting to fall over but trying desperately to stay up, and secondly, two or three screaming goals.

...you can't have your cake ..and eat it ..

Reading thought they were being clever to take Antonio back after his good finish to the season and the JPT win at Wembley...

Now they've let him rot in their Reserve side and he out on loan - AGAIN.

Can't complain about the SAINTS end of season, but I feel he would have made a good contribution had he been allowed to stay.
