If people find no relevance, rhetoric or disinterest, simply ignore rather than gain negative support!! Why the hell is starting a thread for discussion on a football (discussion) forum attention seeking? Esp. if of no interest yet still compelled to comment. I find inherited opinions & forum bandwagoning more annoying. Snide more so. That's about the same logic as training to be a brickie & not liking houses or building! Jeez!! Personally, on topic, I think we have the deals already done for Gorkss & Rodriguez but there have been final terms (hence the other drip fed scout rumours emanating from a usually silent club) finalising & possibly Burnley awaiting their new striker/replacement. It would have likely been dead before Oxo. Unlike our past chairmen, these days, conversely, things are done the correct way.

This sheds a new light on the deal, or non deal as it maybe. Tells me something right from the off. I also think we will not be signing Maynard now anyway, but the Burnley dude!
Stu Man Do Posted 15 August, 2011 Posted 15 August, 2011 I wonder if this is us being clever worrying BCFC into the possibility they could get nothing for him in January by signing pre contract terms. IMO 5m + for him is a bit steep but none the less a decent player and would do a good job for us.

OK ...but...and looking at his stats. I asked myself what was so special about him that warranted talk of £4 million ..was it ? Perhaps a bit of West Country, behind the scenes skulduggery. Already bottom of the league and an unimpressive season behind them City have only one "Golden Egg" and that is Nicky Maynard. ...and if you think that Saints have got 12 mill.burning a hole on their pocket, and Leicester are buying everyone who can lace up a pair of boots..why not go for it?. It may be their last chance to (survive) in CCC and they need cash for players NOW. Can't comment on him as I've not seen him play but have the feeling that Burnley are also using the same tactics with Jay Rod. Better leave them both all alone, 'cos Huseklepp seems to be the latest on the radar and at a much more reasonablr price.

I think you'll find I was quite polite in pointing out you were being slightly hypocritical in having a go at Hypo for unneccesary threads. Yes it was a dig, of course it was a dig, as you seem to produce almost monthly "we love Nigel" threads and that's not attention seeking or unneccessary apparently. I don't have a problem with that, I love old Nige as well but you're surely aware that stating that almost on a monthly basis is just as unneccessary as another Maynard or player X thread? I'm not going to get into an argument over this, I'm sick and tired of this messageboard at the best of times but if you think accusing me of using my personal grief to have a go at the club is appropriate as a response then you're very wrong...
