itchen_dan Posted 10 June, 2012 Posted 10 June, 2012 THEVMAN is the most reliable source for me, cheers pal. Agree.
Raging Bull Posted 10 June, 2012 Posted 10 June, 2012 He is signing for us,having a medical very soon If so when will it be announced? Thanks.
itchen_dan Posted 10 June, 2012 Posted 10 June, 2012 Yeah THEVMAN, when do you expect it to be official? Later this afternoon or tomorrow?
Katalinic Posted 10 June, 2012 Posted 10 June, 2012 Medical started at 11am . At the Nuffield Chandlers Ford rumour has it!!! Where has the rumour come from Sotons East Side?
S-Clarke Posted 10 June, 2012 Posted 10 June, 2012 Where has the rumour come from Sotons East Side? twitter probably, just saw it on there
Dig Dig Posted 10 June, 2012 Posted 10 June, 2012 Sorry everyone, can we stop talking about Rodriguez and get back to discussing weird posters from yesteryear?
beatlesaint Posted 10 June, 2012 Posted 10 June, 2012 Yeah THEVMAN, when do you expect it to be official? Later this afternoon or tomorrow? Have we ever announced a signing on a Sunday ? I would go for Tuesday.......just so there is meltdown and more Everton rumours on here tomorrow
SOTONS EAST SIDE Posted 10 June, 2012 Posted 10 June, 2012 Where has the rumour come from Sotons East Side?I know somebody at the Nuffield, who says a private medical is booked for 11am , unheard of on a sunday and from Southampton. Thats all i can say!!!
Katalinic Posted 10 June, 2012 Posted 10 June, 2012 I know somebody at the Nuffield, who says a private medical is booked for 11am , unheard of on a sunday and from Southampton. Thats all i can say!!! Fair enough mate, seems like good info, thanks.
itchen_dan Posted 10 June, 2012 Posted 10 June, 2012 Have we ever announced a signing on a Sunday ? I would go for Tuesday.......just so there is meltdown and more Everton rumours on here tomorrow Sunday I don't know but we announced Fonte on a Saturday morning so who knows?!
beatlesaint Posted 10 June, 2012 Posted 10 June, 2012 Sunday I don't know but we announced Fonte on a Saturday morning so who knows?! Well sooner the better then we can move on and speculate about goalkeepers, centre halves and wingers again
itchen_dan Posted 10 June, 2012 Posted 10 June, 2012 I know it would please the fans but i think it's vital we get this signed and sealed ASAP, be it today or tomorrow. The longer we go without him signing the contract, it gives Everton that little bit extra time to try and get cash together (if their apparent interest is genuine) whether a medical here has been successful or not.
cryoman1965 Posted 10 June, 2012 Posted 10 June, 2012 Adkins signed on a Sunday Could this be part of the new Southampton way
Thedelldays Posted 10 June, 2012 Posted 10 June, 2012 seems like he will be a saint in the next 48 hours at the most. now, if burnley get some £££ to spend and they do wisely, maybe worth a cheeky punt on a playoffs spot..? lambert and J-rod up front have the potential to be excellent in the prem
itchen_dan Posted 10 June, 2012 Posted 10 June, 2012 I don't think we'll see Lambert and Jay Rod often. I can see it for a few games against more physical sides ie. Stoke etc but I feel they will be rotated like Holt and Morison at Norwich last season. They very rarely played together but they were often rotated. There will be games where we need 2 upfront with pace + penetration. Rod and Sharp may be more appropriate as Jay can hold it up but also get in behind and Sharp offers that natural goal scoring ability. However there will be games where teams need to be stretched and are strong in midfield so Lambert will play, drop off into the hole, pull wide etc and then its up to Adkins who he plays alone upfront, be it JR (height in box), Lee (pace + movement) or Sharp (poacher + goalscorer). Great to have such options though!
derry Posted 10 June, 2012 Posted 10 June, 2012 Nineteen Canteen was that bloke who allegedly was involved in tryng to take saints over about 5 years ago. He used to post on Saints forever with the same name but some clever bugger on SF found out who he was and outed him. His name was something like Tom McLoughlan or something simular. There will be someone on here who will remember him. This Tom Mcloughlan was an Evertonian if my memory serves me correct. Tom McLaughlin, director at Air Partners isn't 19c. 19c was as VFTT says.
Lighthouse Posted 10 June, 2012 Posted 10 June, 2012 Tom McLaughlin, director at Air Partners isn't 19c. 19c was as VFTT says. We did have a nutter posting on here under the username Tommac. Might have been a wind up, that's not much of a disguise.
derry Posted 10 June, 2012 Posted 10 June, 2012 LLS still posts the odd time on here, with a Brazilian connection.
EastleighSoulBoy Posted 10 June, 2012 Posted 10 June, 2012 Sundance Beast, if I recall rightly. Pretty sure they were one and the same. Definite attention seeker, though also genuinely mentally ill (by his own admission, though to what extent who knows). 19C & Sundance were one and the same and, at the latter stages of his tenure here, he talked about being bipolar and the issues etc.
Verbal Posted 10 June, 2012 Posted 10 June, 2012 Tom McLaughlin, director at Air Partners isn't 19c. 19c was as VFTT says. Tommac wasn't a director, just the local business manager in a shed in Fulham (which he referred to as 'Mayfair').
Saint Without a Halo Posted 10 June, 2012 Posted 10 June, 2012 Sorry everyone, can we stop talking about Rodriguez and get back to discussing weird posters from yesteryear? Surely whether we re sign our aged Captain of the 1976 cup winning side is even more yester yearthan the discussion on weird posters

I think Lambert will play whenever he's physically able to. I expect him to start 30+ of our league games.

I wouldn't put it past him as he is physically very fit but I just think keeping Lambert, JR, Sharp & Lee all happy is a big ask. Some games will suit others better.
Saint Charlie Posted 10 June, 2012 Posted 10 June, 2012 I wouldn't put it past him as he is physically very fit but I just think keeping Lambert, JR, Sharp & Lee all happy is a big ask. Some games will suit others better. Lambert is so crucial to our game. He will play with Rodriguez rather than instead of.

Some games will suit others better. I don't really care who plays as long as we score loads and win games of football!! It's just great to have 4 such strikers at the club (almost!)....add in Lallana and this is arguably the best group of attackers we have had since MLT, Shearer, Rod Wallace and Rideout....
itchen_dan Posted 10 June, 2012 Posted 10 June, 2012 According to Chris Boden he understands that there is a meeting scheduled for this afternoon. danbsfc: @bodenknights Do you think Jay would've verbally agreed terms, go have medical and then come back to sign on the line? Possible? bodenknights: @danbsfc not sure, but meeting scheduled for this afternoon

St Chalet Posted 10 June, 2012 Posted 10 June, 2012 Wants 55k PW and will live in Burnley and not relocate to hampshire............ Source?
Lighthouse Posted 10 June, 2012 Posted 10 June, 2012 Wants 55k PW and will live in Burnley and not relocate to hampshire............ Arsenal pay proven internationals £55k a week and nobody is going to drive 9 hours every day to get to training. Please tell me this was a wind up.
Appy Posted 10 June, 2012 Posted 10 June, 2012 Arsenal pay proven internationals £55k a week and nobody is going to drive 9 hours every day to get to training. Please tell me this was a wind up. It's Glasgow Saint It's a wind up.
Chez Posted 10 June, 2012 Posted 10 June, 2012 Wants 55k PW and will live in Burnley and not relocate to hampshire............ Mark my words if he somehow got £55k a week he'd relocate. Can't see either happening, although huge wages will have to be paid if we want top notch talent.
The Kraken Posted 10 June, 2012 Posted 10 June, 2012 Arsenal pay proven internationals £55k a week and nobody is going to drive 9 hours every day to get to training. Please tell me this was a wind up. When Michael Chopra played for Cardiff he lived in Newcastle and had a driver to commute him to training.

Itchen_block4 Posted 10 June, 2012 Posted 10 June, 2012 Just what was mentioned, living in Burnley could not be true imo! That would be mental The club puts players up in Ocean Village until they sort themselves out in the area.
Saint-Armstrong Posted 10 June, 2012 Posted 10 June, 2012 The club puts players up in Ocean Village until they sort themselves out in the area. Do they? I remember Jos, Cork, Steve and Fox all being at Chilworth Manor Hotel. The first 3 definitely as they tweeted it.
itchen_dan Posted 10 June, 2012 Posted 10 June, 2012 Do they? I remember Jos, Cork, Steve and Fox all being at Chilworth Manor Hotel. The first 3 definitely as they tweeted it. Thats true. I think the players just live in Ocean Village because of the ideal location (i.e. food, drink nearby) and the close proximity to the stadium.
djharvey Posted 10 June, 2012 Posted 10 June, 2012 Wants 55k PW and will live in Burnley and not relocate to hampshire............ Complete tosh!
Chez Posted 10 June, 2012 Posted 10 June, 2012 The club puts players up in Ocean Village until they sort themselves out in the area.they certainly did back in the Lowe days, but did we perhaps sell any of those properties when we were in the mire?
saint si Posted 10 June, 2012 Posted 10 June, 2012 Do they? I remember Jos, Cork, Steve and Fox all being at Chilworth Manor Hotel. The first 3 definitely as they tweeted it. Yep, bumped in to Cork and Fox on their way out to a match as I was going there for a wedding (early part of last season).

Trader Posted 10 June, 2012 Posted 10 June, 2012 Wants 55k PW and will live in Burnley and not relocate to hampshire............ Wouldn't surprise me - the more I hear about this bloke the more I am convinced he doesn't want to leave Mummy. Poor lamb.
