david in sweden Posted 14 August, 2011 Share Posted 14 August, 2011 if you read between the lines after Saturday's game when QPR were trounced 4-0 at home. New signing Kieron Dyer, someone who is " injury-prone " (for those who accuse David Connolly) ...was injured after only 7 mins. and looks like being out for some time. QPR Manager Warnock said .." they've got two weeks left to find some new players ...!" (can't believe after all that press about Puncheon in the last few weeks that QPR have lost interest......and I'm sure they'll " find the money " to buy him from somewhere)

sfc1971 Posted 14 August, 2011 Share Posted 14 August, 2011 If the F1 guy takes over before the window shuts Punch will be sold, He will still go on loan until Jan anyways.

Flyer Posted 15 August, 2011 Share Posted 15 August, 2011 I hope theres no chance of it, a takeover should be announced tomorrow and £10-15m should be made available for transfers. That should mean we are looking at better players than Puncheon.

Toomer Posted 15 August, 2011 Share Posted 15 August, 2011 IMO if there is a takeover at QPR Warnock could be the winner of the sack race.
david in sweden Posted 15 August, 2011 Author Share Posted 15 August, 2011 IMO if there is a takeover at QPR Warnock could be the winner of the sack race. it would be some kind of record if he was sacked after ...ONE game but it's true....new management often like their own choice of manager, so QUICK ....buy Puncheon TODAY ..Mr.Warnock...before they kick you out ...... david in sweden Posted 16 August, 2011 Author Share Posted 16 August, 2011 #1 ...it was a wild guess on my part ..but now it seems QPR have renewed interest in Puncheon ..this time on loan. so how will NC respond....?. (1)....say directly to QPR - BUY HIM ..put up or shut up! (2) ..if you want to loan him.. we want to loan Gorkyss in return - and you subsidise his salary to our CCC level... (3) ...if you want to loan Puncheon ..we want a good deal for Gorkyss (4)......(another option...what would you say ?
hutch Posted 16 August, 2011 Share Posted 16 August, 2011 Not (2) or (3). I don't know whether Punch has 1 or 2 years left on his contract here, but anyway letting him go permanently is a higher priority than getting an ex-QPR centre back. No point in linking the 2 unless both parts are best for us.

If I were Cortese I'd say ..(to QPR) ..pay up and look big ..you're Premier league now !
Professor Posted 16 August, 2011 Share Posted 16 August, 2011 One paper is saying - The Times, I think - that Saints turned down £750K and are asking for £1m. If thats true, its even worth waiting until Jan if the club gets an extra £250,000 by holding up for 4 months but the odds must be on a sale before the window closes as Puncheon must know his wage value will decline the longer he isn't playing so I'd imagine his agent is trying hard to sell him. david in sweden Posted 23 August, 2011 Author Share Posted 23 August, 2011 well there we are again. MY prediction from 10 days ago... #1 I couldn't believe that QPR has totally lost interest so quickly, they were just waiting for their new " banker" to buy up the club, Now suddenly all that Warnock bu** sh** is plain to see. Of course he wants Punch*** and now the guys got an open cheque book ...JP will be their first buy! good poker game Mr. Cortese!

david in sweden Posted 24 August, 2011 Author Share Posted 24 August, 2011 (edited) You can't get much better than Puncheon. Ask the bloke. certainly not for our asking price (£1 million) ..you can't. They will surely take him now ! just been reading the Warnock interview with SSN (fresh with the promise of the new owner's cash in his hand) he said :.." the thought of bringing in 3, 4 or 5 new players to the squad is ....(exciting) " QUOTE: Guess that says more than any media runour hype. FIVE players, Mr Warnock..really ? Edited 24 August, 2011 by david in sweden
