Keith Hill... Worst dressed manager ever? Purple shirt, silver and blue striped tie, grey suit and brown shoes. Oh dear.

I used to work at AFC Bournemouth and met him in the tunnel before a game once. Looked like a bloody farmer! Here's what I mean...

Someone feel free to do some photoshopping by the way, that water bottle can be easily changed.

We won't be next, this is the BBC

Yes dear. The bbc are sooooo anti-saints aren't they? It's quite sickening how pro-coventry they are. Always been the way, though. BBC world famous for their pro

Coventry bias and their utter hatred of southampton.

Why do the BBC hate Saints? Not seen it myself apart from idiots like Lawrenson when we were in top flight. Claridge is usually quite complimentary about Saints to be fair.

Cracks me up the clowns caining multiple trophy winning players like lawro's opinions when we were in the Prem. Back in the saintsforever days someone went through Lawro's predictions for the season and if he was correct we would have had 10+ more points than we actually did.

Embarrassing and thick.

I like Claridge, never used to, but he really does praise Saints and calls them a big club very often. Yes his heart is in the Skates camp, but he knows the score and anyone can see we are streets above the Skates on and off the field!!

Totally agree, I think he generally calls it about right.

I agree with you that Lawro isn't anti-Saints, but being a multiple trophy winner doesn't mean he is a good pundit/commentator. He is infuriatingly bad. He gets a regular gig on Today FM (Radio Station) here in Ireland, on a show called The Last Word. He constantly gives "inside scoops" on transfers and whatnot that never come true, even though he's definite they'll happen as an "involved friend" has told him. He rolls off the same useless rhetoric that the majority of pundits do. He's wretched.

Unfortunately, the longer TV stations assume that old player will automatically make a good pundit/commentator, and the longer the likes of sky play to the lowest common denominator, we'll have to put up with Lawro and his ilk. There are so many good journos out there who would do infinitely better jobs but will never see the light of TV day.

That goal from Conolly was a real Magicians slight of hand: how the chuff did he get the ball through that gap!!??

Anyone else think it's a bit shoite highlighting the promotion and relegation places on the tables 2 matches in, yes it looks nice to Saints position highlighted, but most of us know where we have to be on the last day of the season.

Connolly did well to squeeze that ball in between the Barnsley defender and the post. Top work.

The Chaplow incident looked like a split second moment of madness... simply because his leg was already there

I'm not too sure that there was any malice in it though - it was more a case of as you said before, his leg was already there and coming down - it's one of those where I think you have to give the guy the benefit of the doubt. Yes his studs caught him but, I think it was more clumsy than premeditated.

Yeah, that's how I see it having watched the replay. He swung to kick the ball and got it so his studs were up, and it looked like the Barnsley player just ran into his foot almost deliberately. I think we would have a decent case if we appealed against it.

Strange, I thought it a straight red.

It would warrant a straight red if he went in studs up with no intention of winning the ball. He swung and made contact with the ball and was closer to it than the Barnsley player was so had every right to go for it, therefore it wasn't even a 'challenge' as such.

Having said that, I can see why the ref could have seen it as a straight red at the time because the contact did look nasty.

Dno't be a plumb. He booted the ball away then he stuck his boot quite deliberately into the Barnsley player.

Chaplow is a good player to have in the squad but let's not pretend he doesn't play like a complete thug at times.
