M27 eastbound can be horrendous at that time.

 

As you approach each junction (especially Segensworth) keep well away from the inside lane, traffic often queues back onto the main carriageway.

 

Many a phantom traffic jam too, the ones where one person taps their brakes and one by one everyone behind does the same in a domino effect. Fear not the traffic eventually picks up again.

M27 is fine these days, you won't have any problems at all unless it rains (always slows things down), but when you come off at Fareham it can be a nightmare sometimes. Personally just to be sure I'd come off at junction 9 head towards Fareham via Titchfield and then cut across to Stubbington and on to Gosport rather than going down Newgate lane. You'll make it in time and you won't get stuck at Fareham.
