Weston Super Saint Posted 13 August, 2011 Share Posted 13 August, 2011 The M27 should be reasonably free flowing, but you'll get snagged on the A27 into the sh1t hole.

hamster Posted 13 August, 2011 Share Posted 13 August, 2011 M27 eastbound can be horrendous at that time. As you approach each junction (especially Segensworth) keep well away from the inside lane, traffic often queues back onto the main carriageway. Many a phantom traffic jam too, the ones where one person taps their brakes and one by one everyone behind does the same in a domino effect. Fear not the traffic eventually picks up again. hamster Posted 13 August, 2011 Share Posted 13 August, 2011 I thought you had me on 'ignore' for the past few months. Mrs tf, my homebrew tastes so much sweeter now. Lost your number due to switching phones recently, hope you're good? BTW, love you pulling me up.

Chez Posted 14 August, 2011 Share Posted 14 August, 2011 M27 is fine these days, you won't have any problems at all unless it rains (always slows things down), but when you come off at Fareham it can be a nightmare sometimes. Personally just to be sure I'd come off at junction 9 head towards Fareham via Titchfield and then cut across to Stubbington and on to Gosport rather than going down Newgate lane. You'll make it in time and you won't get stuck at Fareham.
Whitey Grandad Posted 14 August, 2011 Share Posted 14 August, 2011 If you go along the coast road at Lee on Solent watch out for the speed camera near the hovercraft slipway where the road dips. There is also one near Fareham creek about 200 yds after you go under the railway viaduct (A32?).
