dune Posted 13 August, 2011 Posted 13 August, 2011 Right it's saying something about the new version of internet explorer being incompatible IE9. Tells me to go into the browser and temporarily revert it to IE8. Can any computor geeks out there translate this into English?
dune Posted 13 August, 2011 Author Posted 13 August, 2011 Please use the compatibility button in the browser bar.... WTF is this gibberish asking me to do?
ohwhenthesaints Posted 13 August, 2011 Posted 13 August, 2011 The IE8 compatibility button, to the right of the address bar.
ericb Posted 13 August, 2011 Posted 13 August, 2011 your best bet would be to use chrome instead, IE has more bugs than an empress road hooker
dune Posted 13 August, 2011 Author Posted 13 August, 2011 your best bet would be to use chrome instead, IE has more bugs than an empress road hooker What do I do?
Dr Octopus Posted 13 August, 2011 Posted 13 August, 2011 Download Safri, I've never had any problems with it.
Beachcombers Windowsill Posted 13 August, 2011 Posted 13 August, 2011 What do I do? http://www.google.com/chrome/intl/en-GB/landing_tv.html
ericofarabia Posted 13 August, 2011 Posted 13 August, 2011 The IE8 compatibility button, to the right of the address bar. Wot he said. I'm a complete techophobe, but it's easy - just look at the end of the address line and look for what looks like a piece of A4 paper ripped in half across the middle. Job Done!! Edit ... OSH kicking in early, spelling mistakes.
dune Posted 13 August, 2011 Author Posted 13 August, 2011 I mean safari !!! This is at least downloading. Google chrome wasn't doing anything (i don't think). 22% so far. Come on you ****ing thing.
Saint Posted 13 August, 2011 Posted 13 August, 2011 Chrome is your best bet. Best browser available and quick to download too.
Dibden Purlieu Saint Posted 13 August, 2011 Posted 13 August, 2011 Right it's saying something about the new version of internet explorer being incompatible IE9. SuperMikey Posted 13 August, 2011 Posted 13 August, 2011 Was wondering why it wasn't working, then it started telling me my subscription was inactive..ffs! What's the point in having to sign up again every season? Just keep it going until I cancel it!

What's the point in having to sign up again every season? Just keep it going until I cancel it! I'm quite glad they cancelled me, I wouldn't have wanted to have paid £4.29 for August!
ant Posted 13 August, 2011 Posted 13 August, 2011 I thought the pre-season coverage was pretty good and worth a few quid. Kept me going through the summer drought of football at least.
CanadaSaint Posted 13 August, 2011 Posted 13 August, 2011 Did they cut the feed at 5 p.m. or are some of you still hearing it?
johnnyboy Posted 13 August, 2011 Posted 13 August, 2011 cut the feed , can you get radio solent in canada http://www.bbc.co.uk/solent/
ericofarabia Posted 13 August, 2011 Posted 13 August, 2011 Did they cut the feed at 5 p.m. or are some of you still hearing it? Gone dead ... go to Radio solent for rest of the show i guess. http://www.bbc.co.uk/solent/programmes/schedules listen live.
Gigersaint Posted 13 August, 2011 Posted 13 August, 2011 Started using Saints Player for the first time today after subscribing, thankfully didn't have any problems with it using Chrome. Stopped using IE over a year ago and would never go back to it, not sure my first experience of using Saints Player would have been the same if I had still been on it.
dune Posted 13 August, 2011 Author Posted 13 August, 2011 Really pleased with Safari. It takes a bit of getting used to but I like it.
rick1976.4.38 Posted 13 August, 2011 Posted 13 August, 2011 worked fine over here in spain.good to hear saints when abroad
EastleighSoulBoy Posted 13 August, 2011 Posted 13 August, 2011 Right it's saying something about the new version of internet explorer being incompatible IE9. Tells me to go into the browser and temporarily revert it to IE8. Can any computor ( = computer) geeks out there translate this into English? Translated. Then go download Firefox, it's free (so you'll like it). Install it and then run Saintsplayer
Saintandy666 Posted 13 August, 2011 Posted 13 August, 2011 Really pleased with Safari. It takes a bit of getting used to but I like it. Boooooooo! All about Chrome!
hutch Posted 13 August, 2011 Posted 13 August, 2011 Dune New laptop? Windows 7? 64 bit? Win7 64bit IE9 doesn't support Flash, which I think is required for Saints Player. Win7 also has a 32bit version of IE9 installed. Run this and you should be fine.
Ohio Saint Posted 13 August, 2011 Posted 13 August, 2011 Boooooooo! All about Chrome! I work indirectly for Google. Even they make us use Firefox for work!
Saintandy666 Posted 13 August, 2011 Posted 13 August, 2011 I work indirectly for Google. Even they make us use Firefox for work! I used to use Firefox, but then it went slow and started using up ridiculously amounts of memory. Firefox is still good though. One thing is for sure though, IE is a crock of ****e.
SNSUN Posted 13 August, 2011 Posted 13 August, 2011 Is it true we can use Saints Player for other clubs? Getting the Norwich stuff up there would mean I could charge my missus half the cost.
S-Clarke Posted 13 August, 2011 Posted 13 August, 2011 Is it true we can use Saints Player for other clubs? Getting the Norwich stuff up there would mean I could charge my missus half the cost. Yep, I use my saints player login for all other clubs ''players''. Quite handy to drop in and hear their managers comments after we've played them etc.
sfcuk fan Posted 13 August, 2011 Posted 13 August, 2011 You can log into any club that uses the same ' player ' format. Can anyone work out an easy way to show which clubs this is, or put up a list of em ? .
SamKimish Posted 13 August, 2011 Posted 13 August, 2011 Does anyone know when this upgraded HD video will begin to be used? I swear the highlights footage is no improvement to last year at a higher cost?
ericofarabia Posted 14 August, 2011 Posted 14 August, 2011 You can log into any club that uses the same ' player ' format. Can anyone work out an easy way to show which clubs this is, or put up a list of em ? If you are already logged on to the Live Matches page, just click on any of the matches being played that day and you can listen to their match commentary. I've started listening to the opposition teams taters as they tend not to disappear for updates of Totton V Brockenhurts Rovers or some such top attraction during the match!! I don't think Leeds and possibly Mboro are in "The Player" availablility, presumably have their own agreement with local radio or even their own station?
ericofarabia Posted 14 August, 2011 Posted 14 August, 2011 Very constructive .... hide this thread away where nobody will see it. It is relevent to each and every Saints game played until some sort of improvement s are made and deserves to be on the main board still.
ericb Posted 14 August, 2011 Posted 14 August, 2011 Dune New laptop? Windows 7? 64 bit? Win7 64bit IE9 doesn't support Flash, which I think is required for Saints Player. Win7 also has a 32bit version of IE9 installed. Run this and you should be fine. Or just stop using IE for the love of the web and the need to advance technology. IE really is the worst browser out there (and it's users are even thicker than those that use other browser - http://www.surrealscoop.com/2011/08/internet-explorer-users-are-thick-in.html )
