I'm fully expecting 2; a striker and a centre back. Any more would be a complete bonus.

 

Can't believe the 5 year plan will still apply after all this though. Significant investment and I'm sure pressure will be on NA to deliver.

We are going to get a CB and a ST. No, I'm not in the know, I just think it's what we need and so Adkins will strengthen in those areas.

My source told me to expect 2 signings this week, so either we'll see moves happening over the weekend or the players/clubs are stalling and holding out for more cash after the AOC sale.

To be fair I read the OP as we will definately get two or three new signings rather than we may or may not get two or three signings. I am sure you will look back in 10 years and say "You know he was right..we did get that new bloke in 2012 one in 2015 and even a third in 2019"

I thought Cortese had scrapped the old 5 year plan and come up with a new one beginning this year.

At the rate we're (allegedly) looking to spend it'll need to be a 9 month plan.

i've been told the same and i trust my source 100% no names but bids are in just waiting on clubs/players to decide

 

You both say it's all down to other clubs, so how is it justified to say "expect two or three new signings" when nothing has been finalised? Therefore, I'd suggest people debunk this thread as usual rumours.

That joke gets funnier everytime I hear it. You really should put a warning on If you are going to crack funnies like that, people here think i am MENTAL as I am sitting here in a pub in stitches looking at my phone.

It's hardly new news though anyway is it?

As well as everyone saying we were bidding for a striker and CB for the last few weeks Nigel himself said before the WBA game in July that he wanted to bring in 3 or 4 players this window! So saying to expect some signings is like saying expect christmas in December...pretty obvious statement.

To be credible the OP needed to say when and who.

 

The OP's source also told him the pre-season tour was in the USA so hardly reliable.

I like it when people ask for someone's "sauce" when they start a rumour and the reply is "HP" that usually has me in fits of laughter. It's quite embarrassing at work though when people think you are MAD for laughing at you PC so hysterically.
