FMPR Posted 11 August, 2011 Share Posted 11 August, 2011 Ebanks Blake is a real quality acquisition for this league which I suspect would promote you unfortunately!
skintsaint Posted 11 August, 2011 Share Posted 11 August, 2011 Definately Blake going on past record.

Rasiak-9- Posted 11 August, 2011 Share Posted 11 August, 2011 Maynards a scorer of great goals but Ebanks-Blake is a great scorer of goals, so I'd prefer the latter but both would be fantastic and frankly would walk into our first XI ahead of Connolly or Barnard. CWD Posted 11 August, 2011 Share Posted 11 August, 2011 Ebanks-Blake. They'd both be cracking signings but SEB will score more goals. Maynard is arguably the better player and is a creator as well as a goalscorer, but we have Lallana for that! That said, I would be over the moon with either. SNSUN Posted 11 August, 2011 Share Posted 11 August, 2011 Either would be an excellent acquisition but I think we should hold out for Owen... (Rodriguez would be a good signing too.)

Guan 2.0 Posted 11 August, 2011 Share Posted 11 August, 2011 Bid For Maynard, Ebanks Blake and Rodriguez. Get permission to speak to all 3, and sit them down in 3 adjoining rooms. Then tell them there is only one contract to sign between the three of them. Whoever signs quickest, gets the signing on fee and wages, whoever stalls and tries to greed their way through negoations, gets a Northerly return trip. revolution saint Posted 11 August, 2011 Share Posted 11 August, 2011 Let's face it, either would be great. Maynard has a fair bit of hype at the moment but a lot of that is because of Leicester apparently bidding big and City putting a big price on his head. Let's not forget NM has recently come back from a bad injury as well. I guess a lot will come down to value for money... SEB at 3.5m or NM for around 5m? Who knows? Comparing prices for players is hard....we've just sold a player who has never played above L1 level for the same price as an England international (Ashley Young). Either one would be good for us.....I guess a good question would be which player would you not like to face in an opposing team? Happy days just being linked with them though.... Does make you wonder, with these three "leaked" stories, whether we are playing them off against each other, to get the best deal - whether from clubs, players or both. In any case, the speculation is great fun!

sotonist Posted 11 August, 2011 Share Posted 11 August, 2011 Id take Maynard... Young, hungry, quick and an arrogant sort that gets goals. less than a year younger than SEB, hasn't proven himself to the same degree in this division and has no premier league experience. I think i'd take SEB.
S-Clarke Posted 11 August, 2011 Share Posted 11 August, 2011 Both good players, but both players with questionable injury records. But this club would be perfect for either in that respect. I'd say SEB is the powerful CF that you could do with in this league, whereas Nicky is the more pacy, on the shoulder type centre forward. I'm pretty sure either can get 20 goals in this league, easy, so I'd be happy with either If I'm totally honest. We're shopping right at the top of our market. wightman35 Posted 11 August, 2011 Share Posted 11 August, 2011 whoever's the less crocked. Agree with this:lol:. Surely the poll should have a space for Rodrigues and maybe Michael Owen . Or any two from four?
SuperMikey Posted 11 August, 2011 Share Posted 11 August, 2011 Maynard please. Ebanks-Blake has just as bad an injury record as Maynard, and SEB didn't cut it at Prem level. Maynard is as of yet unproven at Prem level, but he's shown that he's more than capable of scoring a shedload at this level and has big potential.
