Jonnyboy Posted 25 January, 2012 Share Posted 25 January, 2012 Lowe didn't have the money to really invest, we needed investment. Without a top manager transforming little boys into big stars, investors steered well clear. Hoddle was Lowe's last chance, in that direction. It failed. It will take getting into the Premiership, for Cortese to come clean and divulge who it was that introduced him to Saints. Cortese's careful handling of finances, has long left me believing who is the past Chairman advising in the background and to whom we owe a big thank you. Controversial! alpine_saint Posted 25 January, 2012 Author Share Posted 25 January, 2012 He's not p*ssing about, it seems. If he gets another quality CB and another striker, this team is going to look pretty f*cking invincible. I just hope Adkins doesnt have mental blocks about the best 11 to pick, because he is going to have some tough choices. And how well it was going until the end of November. I was feeling good back in August, and still feeling good then. I've read somewhere we've scored one more point than Coventry over the last 10 games. Definitely relegation form. I am pleased this thread was dug up (although it was clearly done to provide some form of dig at me), because it shows that I too was on the bus for quite a while until the whole thing went tits up due to lack of squad depth. No matter. There is still time to turn this thing around, and with the arrival of Lee, the return of the Prodigal Son and a mass return to fitness on the cards, maybe it will happen. And maybe at the right time too, as we come out of this bloody awful Jan-Feb period.

I thought there had been a poll... Anyone?...
